Atlantis

Speak low because I am so lost
My breath feels shallow for I see
All the things you can't imagine
Turn away slow, just let me be

They dive so deep under water
All those soft floating shadows
That dissolve in my unconscious
Oh God! my whole system slows

But wait, I think now I can see
As I resurface to suck in the air
Exploding galaxies and planets
Beyond everything that's unfair

Fountains showering little stars
Filled with taste of soft ecstasies
Which slowly rob me of all sanity
Leaving me drunk on clemencies

Glitters filtering by supernovas
Shy 'n' light steps on milkyways
The fantasies hidden under sea
As all around me, magic sways

I'm blinking slowly, I feel faded
Into the colours of kaleidoscopes
As I sit on this sparkling stardust
With glimmering fragile hopes

No one understands my dreams
Too often, I so dive into the deep
And drink the silence of the sea
Lightly woven promises, I keep

I close my eyes and softly smile
They can't see fascination in this
Little island of my imagination
For it is my own hidden Atlantis

Author's Note

Listening to FADED-Where are you now (Cover by ELEMENTS). I mention the songs because sometimes they inspire me to write these poems but I do not support this idea of using music to write poems. I have my own reasons. :')

I wanted to write this poem to depict a scattered mind that's always drunk on fantasies and imaginations. In my opinion, such a mind is just like Atlantis which is a fictional island that doesn't exist. I hope I succeeded in doing it. :')♥♡
