how do i tell you, how it feels...
to be a stigma on crystal purity,
a speck on the face of cosmos,
or a giggle in arms of maturity?a window on a vivid skyscraper
lucent among several windows
all the more scintillatin' at night
lost above a city as traffic slows?a stain on a chalk white t-shirt,
a sharp crack on a phone screen,
a blot of ink on a journal page,
or a torn up cover of a magazine?how it feels to be lost amidst it
the allurin' vibe of Seoul at night
that reduces you to this tiny dot
which is invisible in all the light?how do i tell you, how it feels...
to be a laughter at sad funerals,
an outcast in a cosmopolitan city,
or a decimal in all the numerals?to know that they don't know you
'cause people like you are so few!
but they forget if a decimal moves
..it changes every numerical valueAuthor's Note
Listening to 'Seoul' by RM from BTS. This is such a beautiful song about the South Korean city named Seoul that I couldn't resist adding its name to my poem. ❤
This poem is for outcasts who feel low and alone. This poem is for immigrants and expatriates. You might be a decimal in a cosmos of numerals but you must never forget the power you possess just because you're different. This distinctivensss is what's unique about you and you must be proud of it. Never let your differences bring you down. =)
Much love,
Hazel ❤
