Illusions

Such an elysian girl she was
Who wandered in hall ways
Of all the soft shady dreams
Oh ever so lost in her sways

I remember her little frame
Floatin' around in the cloud
Of magic and sheer wonder
Echoing with music so loud

Enveloped in her fragrance
I lost every shard of reason
Giving in to wild insanities
I felt no time and no season

Her graceful steps caressed
Strings of my drugged heart
Trapping me in silken webs
She showed me, she was art

Hidin' in my humble abode
Drownin' in rollin' lullabies
I kissed her silent whispers
Never thinking of goodbyes

Dissolvin' in a lovely trance
She felt like a fragile dream
So she faded away in magic
And I couldn't even scream

Now I am left ever so alone
Amidst hazy nostalgic rains
For I sip in the helplessness
Painted with delicate pains

Entangled in a sunlit dream
Now I feel ever so uncertain
When her silhouette reflects
Behind a floatin' net curtain

And as I cry myself to sleep
I wonder if all her allusions
In my life at last proved that
Art is adorned with illusions
