this sick beat
got me swimmin'
in deep waters
got me boppin'
around west side
got me dreamin'
of neon alleys
'n' got me floatin'
in a lucid dream
of silhouettes
and shadows
all so electrifiedisn't it strange
that i've never been
to all these places
or taken drugs
to lose my mind
but this sick beat
got me blinkin'
on a neon board
the unsaid words
hidin' in my heart
displayed in lights
isn't it strange
how a sick beat
can make you heal
oh isn't it strange
what a sick beat
can make you feel?Author's Note
Still listening to 'The Way I See Things' by Lil Peep. It has made my imagination run wild and explore emotions without having a certain experience associated with them. I always find it fascinating how different kinds of music can make you feel differently. This poem is just ordinary but I'm not holding anything back now because I've only got less than 25 poems to write in this book and I don't want to have any regrets afterwards. =)
P.S Yeah, that's Lil Peep in the image above...and for those who don't know about him, he died when he was only 20, back in 2017. =(
Much Love,
Hazel
