December

Trapped in the middle of December
Silently, I stare at this fading ember

Recalling those dreams that I wove
Through your eyes by a warm stove

I sigh and try to hold back shy tears
Because they so haunt me, my fears

Your magic was carved in my hand
You were bound to invade my land

Halting those cycles of all the clocks
You caught my heart in golden locks

Entangled in strings of your breaths
I cocooned myself in velvet sheaths

Giving my heart to a street stranger
I couldn't detect any tapping danger

Bendin' down on knees for my heart
I forgot that it will only rip me apart

Standing by chaotic shore of my life
I let waves drown me in pain, so rife

You thought it was so easy to leave?
What about all the dreams I weave?

Waiting years in a forced loneliness
I accept, unfulfilled desires are mess

Love is nothing but painful nonsense
I find excuses to evade my existence

For I know, you'll never remember
I'm left trapped in the middle of...
.

.
December
