lately, you've been slippin'

lately, you've been slippin'

from the crevices

of my fragile fingers

like transparent water

and all I've done is

to look at you helplessly

because I can't hold it

the fluid, that you are

oh why did you have to come

to be the cause of this mayhem

in the silence of my eternal sea

for i'm goin' wild inside of me

i can't breathe in this chaos

that never tends to fade away

for you are everything

to my deep 'nothing'

but i've tried so hard

to search you in everything

only to find 'nothingness'

in nothing but nothing

darlin'...

were we residing in a fantasy

that's blurred with the passage

of every moment

only to leave me in an

imaginary 'antlantis',

the tracks upon which

are unknown to me

just as i am unknown

to your soul so free...

please i'm choking on it

the density of your absence

that rushes upon me

every second of the day

like unforgivin' tides

raised up by the pull of a

nocturnal full moon

that wishes to deprive me

of the last trace

of my faltering sanity

to leave me at the brink

of sericeous insanity

that's gonna deceive me soon

in the bright light of noon

for deception's not checked

by any moment of time

oh how i wish to write

about the fog on my glasses

that's painted in front of my eyes

due to the whisp of steam

rising from a hot cup of coffee

but, anyhow, i end up thinking

about the gone days

and this eternal sea

under which you've left me

with a heart set on fire

baby, please come back

don't you feel pity for me?

for i really need to see

beyond this confusing fog

tainting my spectacles

oh cannot you see?

i desperately want you to come

for i'm utterly lost in this

hopelessly faded bedlam

Author's Note

Listening to 'Faded-KDS edits' as reflected by my poem. *-*

Bedlam is pronounced as 'bedlem'. It means 'a state or scene of confusion'. I kind of like this word.. ❤

This is the first time I've tried this. Is it free verse? Idk what it is. It rhymes at some points. It's...well, it's some poetry. :P

Kindly leave your feedback regarding it. Should I try doing it again or not? :)

Much love,
Hazel ^-^
