i recall
a faded morning
lingering back in the town
of my hazy memoriesit embraces
the scattered traces
of my lost imagination,
the resonance of
pitter-patter, pitter-patter
of heavenly water
against the foggy glass
of my bedroom windowi remember
moisture absorbed into air,
soft and heavy,
as the tip of my
cold and pale forefinger
caressed it,
the smooth crystal
of the glassand i wrote your name
over 'n' over,
over 'n' over,
for i couldn't think
of anything
but you.oh it took me a while
to step down
the crisp window seat
of my shady bedroomand i had my back
to your name
for two seconds,
two seconds...ah..
who knew,
who knew
that it took
two seconds
for present
to mould into a
masterpiece of pastfor moments
to change into
memoriesfor a soul
to become a
lifeless corpse..for it took me
two seconds
to turn aroundand it took you
two seconds
to become a
masterpiece of pastand gift me
memoriesthat i carry around
in the brittle bones
of my long forgotten
lifeless corpse..two seconds
for the imprint
of my cold and pale forefinger
to fade into
a whisp of nostalgiadarling,
i have been so long in love
with metaphors
that are rich in depths,
with a tainted look
of peeping realityand i feel bad
because you never
stayed back
and i never got a chance
to thank you for the trance
you left me inso here i am,
for you're gone
and i'm left
all alone
with the best of
metaphors
i ever encounteredAuthor's Note
