We all have those fleeting memories
Of rolled down windows and storiesEvenings colored by hues of sunsets
Cars breezing past blooming floretsTanned arms graced by flowing hair
Rumbling old radios and that stareThat stare that made our knees weak
And took away our abilities to speakLight air caressing our fragile frames
As we lost ourselves in foreign namesRolling past those lush country sides
Listening to the rush of faraway tidesSinging loudly along grunge records
Pulling at one another's heart cordsDrowning together in ringing laughs
Dreaming to be lovely better halvesI know that those days are long gone
I smile sadly for now I drive all aloneBut passing by old town, I recall a beat
