I remember, I went back there
To a place out of my dreams
Afloat in the soft clouds
My feet landed in the middle of it,
A meadow spanning several miles
Amidst which resided a lake
The water of which glittered
At the touch of dreamy sunlight
And I heard somebody whisper
That if I stayed until the night
I could watch fairies in moonlight
Who played around the lake
And rested nearby in a cave
But flew away just before dawn
This forced me to open my eyes
In my bed, I turned to look at skies
It escaped my mouth, a muffled yawn
As I realized...it was already dawn

Listening to 'Spring Day' by BTS. If you didn't know, well I'm ARMY and I love being a part of this fandom. ❤
But this song has nothing to do with this poem as I wrote this poem on 07/07/2018 for a little kid who needed a poem about a place where he went for summer vacations. However, being Hazel, I got poetic and instead of writing a poem in the literal sense, I made it metaphorical. This is not my writing style because I changed it and made it very plain and simple for this child. =)
It's a poem about missing opportunities and procrastinating. It's about always being late for important stuff and regretting afterwards. It's about 'what ifs' and 'might be-s'. It's about lost chances. :')
I hope you like this simple poem written for a child who doesn't even know me. Who's never met me and might never meet me in my entire life.. :')Much love,
Hazel ❤
