You sighed boredly and fiddled the pen between your fingers, eventually looking out of the window. The class was just soooo boring. Usually you liked chemistry, and a lot, but today seemed to be destined to be fucked.

"Sorry I'm late," you heard unfamiliar voice and looked up for a second. Dark haired boy stood in front of the class, still panting from running and grinning nervously.

''Well, it was the time," teacher's voice was as sharp as a laser saber, "class, please meet our new student, Portgas D. Ace, whom, I hope, won't be late from now on," she raised one of her thin eyebrows.

"Yessir! I mean, ma'am," Ace chuckled.

"Alright, go amd sit," you didn't really care about the new student, in a prestigious school like yours students come and go all the time, and only best of them stay.

"Can I sit here?" Ace whispered to you, not wanting bring teacher's attention to him more, and pointed at the seat next to you.

You nodded without even looking at him and yawned slightly, doodling a flower on your notes. You kept adding flowers until there was a whole crown of them, anc then scribbled a small girl under it.

"That's pretty," he whispered to you again, and you nodded. Suddenly the bell rang and everybody started going to lunch. You got up too, but accidentally brushed your noted off the table so they scattered on the floor.

''Oh man," you mumbled disappointedly and started gathering them.

"Here," you looked up and saw Ace handing you a bundle of notes. You thanked him, looking at him for the first time. His skin was really tanned and cowered in freckles, hair standing up in a way that let you guess he had only heard stories about hairbrushes. And when he opebed his eyes...you felt as a wind flew past you as you stared into his disturbingly chocolatey eyes.

After a second you felt strange warmth in your chest, and looking down you saw your chest was glowing. And so was his. The last few classmates who were still there turned to look at you and gasped in surprise. That meant only one thing...

"Nope, forget it," you took a step back and grabbed your bag, "I am not getting into that mess, not now, not ever," and you flashed out, leaving very awkward classmates behind.

You went straight to the roof and grabbed a handful of rubble from it, throwing small stones at the stadium where jocks were training.

"What. The. Heck!" You yelled and the stone hit another one against the head, "I didn't ask for some fucking idiot to be my-"

"You forgot these," a voice behind you made you jump a little and drop the rubble, turning around. Ace stood there, holding your notes.

"Thanks," you mumbled, cleaning your hands against your uniform skirt and grabbing the papers from him.

"So what were you saying there?" He grinned and you couldn't help staring at his eyes again, already one of them was turning E/C like yours. Damn that soulmate thing, you didn't ask for it!

"I said I don't want that whole soulmate crap. Or you so-gggjhhh!" You fell on your knees when terrible pain pierced your chest, "you son of a bitch! What was that?"

"You can't just reject one piece of your soul and hope it wouldn't hurt," Ace shrugged and bowed next to you to help you up, "are you better now? And please don't try it again, it hurt like hell,"

"Yeah, tell me about it," you rubbed the place where it hurt, "well I guess I'm stuck with you then. But that doesn't mean I'm happy about it!"

"Sure, sure," he patted your head and you blushed in utter embarrasement.

"Screw you, you jerk,"
