You yawned a bit and strolled down the crowded street, giving sideways glances at the small shops that sold different merchandise, starting with clotes and weapons, finishing with small trinkets and jewelry. Kicking a small piece of pebble in boredom, you accidentally hit a marine with it. Marine turned around, rubbing his head where he had gotten hurt and stared annoyedly at you.

"Sorry," you grinned, raising your hands in defensive position. "It was an accident, I didn't mean any harm."

"Nah it's okay," his eyes concentrated on your face and you fiddled nervously with a knife handle in your sleeve. "Wait," he stopped you when you started to sneak away. "What is your name?"

"Woah, you move fast honey. Next thing I know you ask for my number," you laughed and tried not to panic as you changed the topic.

"Name please," you gave  a slight look at the escape route in another street, noting that if you were to kick marine hard enough, you could actually get few minutes for escaping.

"I don't think I should go around telling my name to strangers," you backed a step and grinned nervously. "But it was really nice meeting you, and sorry for the hit again. Bye," you waved and turned around on a heel, speedwalking away.

"Y/N," he suddenly yelled and you felt your stomach twisting around in fear. He had recognised you, and by the looks of it he was a marine officer. A.k.a, you were in a deep shit. You started running as fast as you could, the marine after you and just as he was right behind you, grabbing your arm, you heard a bone-shattering roar.

A huge monster stomped down the street, slime and muddy water dripping from it. It bared it's teeth, sherp and canine, like shark's. It turned to a young woman, who hadn't been able to run away and you felt your heart slowing. You couldn't let that woman die. With a swift movement you pulled out a knife and sent it flying towards the monster, so it hit the mark and got stuck in it's side. It let out a another pained roar and blood gushed out of the wound.

It's pain-hazed eyes fixated on you and for a second you felt happy that the others were safe. Then you realised it was coming after you.

You ran away from the huge slimy monster, almost slipping in the ball of ooze that splattered over the stone-paved street. Grabbing the lantern post, you flunged yourself on top of one of the houses and crouched down, looking for the slimy's weak point. Thankfully, it wasn't exactly fixated on catching you. The bad thing was, it was concentrated on just getting it's slime everywhere, and preferably having few people choking to death on it. What a lovely fellow indeed.

You moved bit left so you were hidden behind chimney, and slowly took your flintlock from your back, setting it towards the monster. Now. Deep breath, aim and-

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" You jumped in fright at the sudden voice and your finger pressed down. The gun boomed and your special bullet flew toward the monster. You held your thumbs for a sudden good luck, but as always, it didn't come. Bullet hit the wall next to monster, and it rose it's ugly head, it's attention drawn to you.

The gills on the both sides of his neck flapped a bit and he sprinted towards the house you were hiding on, climbing the wall. You rolled over and held your breath, hoping he wouldn't notice you.  You pulled the marine, who had distracted you before behind you, and loaded your gun again.

"Aim little left," he breathed into your ear and you adjusted the gun. "We need to interrogate him, not kill." Monster stuck it's nose in the air and sniffed, it's cold fisheyes turning at you.

"Don't talk," you breathed back and moved your finger a bit. The gun clicked ever so lightly when the flint lit and you pressed harder, sending another bullet through the air. It pierced air with a whistling sound and quicker then you could have imagined, it hit. The red spot on the greyish skin of the half-shark, half-whale man widened. He stared at the wound for a second before collapsing and you walked over, checking his pulse. Weak, but steady.

"Thanks," the marine was already cuffing it to the iron rails of the house and you cringed, watching the slimy splotches he was now covered with. He had somehow even got something on his head, which was now slowly dripping off his bright pink hair and round glasses. "You really have a ton of luck."

"Stay low, go fast. Kill first, die last. One shot, one kill. Not luck, all skill," you recited emotionlessly, all while screaming inside. How dare he say you had a luck? That was almost as bad as saying you couldn't fight because you were a woman.

"Is that your creed or something?" He laughed and you gave him another glare.

"I'm sorry, again, but if there is nothing else," you started backing away, while he chained the monster down. "I have a meeting...ummm," you glanced at your wrist, "soon."

"Wait, Y/N," he jumped up, walking towards you.

"Y/N? Who's Y/N?" You babbled, still retreating, one hand still clutching the gun. "You are mistaken. I'm not Y/N. My name is...ummm....Chouchou!" He jumped towards you, grabbing your arm.

"No way, you're going jail along with the beastie over there," cuffs clicked around your wrist but you managed to yank your arm away and jump away.

"I helped to capture him, doesn't that count, Mr Marine?" You pouted innocently, tilting your head on the side a bit.

"No. Way," he moved at you again, until you were standing on the edge of the roof. "It counts, but not enough to wipe away your crimes."

"Oh what big criminal I am. Few little mischiefs, that's all," you waved it off, sliding your arms around his neck to keep from falling.

"Treason. Thievery. Piracy. And those are just the main crimes, I could go on whole day," you moved your hands to his collar, pulling him low enough so your foreheads touched and his cheeks coloured.

"I would love to hear that all," you smiled and moved even closer, as if you were starting to kiss him, "but I can think of few things that we could rather do," his hands were around you and you liked it. "But sadly, some of them include you with less slime on you, and others include me," you took te last step back, only him holding you from falling now, "going. Liberté, sweetheart!" You let go and fell for a second before landing on the hard ground, scraping your knees before standing up again.

Just before running off, you stared at him and gave a mocking salute. He looked a little surprised and hurt, but at your last words the corners of his mouth curved into a slight smile.

"You can always come and catch me after you've cleaned up. Oh, and I'll be keeping the handcuffs."
