You layed on your stomach on your bed and stared at the TV screen with a stoned face. It was a documentary about wild cats and it was quite boring. Not that you didn't like wild cats, just that specific movie had such a bad camerawork and boring scenery.
Your roommate on the other hand couldn't have been happier since he looked like the Christmas had arrived early. You sneaked to the edge of the bed to grab the remote from the floor but by the time your hand hit the floor it was gone. You looked up at Coby who was holding it.
"I know," you interrupted before he got to say even one word, "you had to bear three seasons of Teen Wolf, so now I have to watch that,"
"No I was actually gonna ask if you wanna do anything else than watch TV," you shrugged.
"Close enough," your stomach rumbled loudly enough to mark the arrival of World War 3. You got up from the bed and walked to the cupboard, hoping to find so instant ramen, but instead you were greeted by shocking lack of any sort of food.
"We are gonna die!" You shouted and fell on your knees on the floor, raising both of your hands towards the sky, "please! Help me God, I don't wanna die yet!"
"We can go to supermarket if you are that hungry," Coby had looked your act with a mild emotion.
"Yes please," you jumped up and grabbed your coat, "wait a moment, I'll see what we need," you raced back to the food resources, or at least where they were supposed to be and made a mental list in yout head.
"Did you make a list?" Cobt asked while locking the door.
"Yep, it's right in here," you knocked on your temple with knuckles.
"I meant real list that you won't forget as soon as you see XXL marshmallows,"
"I didn't forget it," you protested as you pulled the neck of your jumper higher. "I told you the list,"
"You told me to go and get 'cheese and all that shit' while you went on a sweets hunt,"
"But admit it, you got everything we needed anyways," you said as a matter-of-factly, as the two of you walked into supermarket that was 25hrs open. Coby pushed one of the carts along the aisle and stopped just for a moment to take something from the shelf.
"What are you doing?" He sighed as he looked back and saw you sitting in the cart.
"Fighting hunger," you winced uncomfortably when he put a ton of noodles on top of you, "I just can't walk anymore, it would use up too much energy, which I don't have anymore,"
"Nope," he cut you off, "no weird and confusing energy talk this time. I'm still having nightmares about the last time and I'm questioning your sanity over wanting to study English,"
"English is cool," you grabbed some custard from the shelf you rode by, "I'm the one who should question your sanity,"
"And why so?" He said with a tone that said he already knew your answer, since you two had had that argument dozen times already.
"Ummm....one, you have already graduated from college, but you're still there. Two, you teach Geography and stuff to people who actually wanna learn it,"
"I asked you in the beginning of the year if you were alright with living with one of the teachers," he said calmly and for a moment you didn't like him for being so mature and calm when he was only few years older than you.
