GreenR: hi. Can someone please tell me why we need interviews to get in schools? It's really playing a number on my nerves.
Law: don't worry, it'll be alright.
GreenR: yeah, probably. I'm just worried. I wanna get into my favourite school, y'know?
How's it with ya guys? New schools? Jobs? Universities?
I WANNA KNOW!

Onyx rocked back and forth on her sharp heels, leaning forward towards the city as her eyes scanned the streets beneath her feet. Lights blinked everywhere and bright neon signs promised different ways to have fun. And everyone seemed to believe them, judging by way they hurried, eager to relax.
Her lips drew back in a snarl, baring her sharp and pearly fangs, as she noticed a troubled-looking angel landing on street.
Angel's halo shone brightly above his head, and everyone who saw it's light smiled brightly right away and felt lighter and happier. That feathered bananapeel of goodness!
He looked around confusedly, staring at the street signs. People unconsciously moved away from his path and created free room around him, even leaving extra space for his wings. Aw, how considerate of them.
Onyx hissed and her snake-like tail whipped through the air with a whistle. She stepped back from the edge of the building she had been standing on. Grabbing her odaichi (it's a long sword, you gotta swing it with both hands) from the ground it had been lying on, she took a deep breath and jumped off the house.
As always, first ten floors passed as a fast blur as she ran down by the side of the metal and glass building, her heels scraping the windows deeply. What the hell, it wasn't her fault. Okay, it was, but she was half demon. What else could you expect? Clean the windows? No thank you.
She pushed herself off from the side of the house and landed gracefully on the empty side-street, almost stumbling over a stray cat and landing in a dumpster. Flicking her long dark hair over her shoulder and adjusting thin strap of her top so it wouldn't peek out from under her leather vest, she stepped out on the main street.
She strapped her sword on her back as she walked and only a very observant man would have seen that the thick leather belt around her swaying hips seemed to move from time to time a bit. She walked like a woman on a mission and her expression stayed stern as always.
Once, years ago, her face had been described as an ancient Greek statue. She always smiled mysteriously and beautifully, everyone loved to see her. Now, she only got cries of disgust when they saw her. Her ruined left eye was covered with uneven bangs, but small part of her scars were still showing.
Reaching a man she had seen before, Onyx grabbed his arm and easily dragged him along with her to on a little quieter empty street. Pushing him against the stone wall, her arms tensed, ready to grab her sword from her back in case it was needed. I don't know if it comes as a surprise, but most of the times angels don't really like demons.
Man, pardon me, angel, looked as he was made shadows. She couldn't even see his face, as it was just a dark slump, barely lightened by thin halo hanging crookedly above his head. For a moment she wondered how humans could be stupid and never notice the creatures walking beside them. Lurking in the shadows, playing little tricks on them. Occasionally taking a life or two.
"Ya lost?" She asked roughly, "'cause that's me place, ain't no place for angel-scum like ye."
"Lost? Uh, yeah," angel looked apologising, or least as apologising as a shadow can. "I was actually on my way to Paris, but I got separated from my flock so can you help me and tell me where I am?" His eyes, as Onyx noticed now, were red circles in the darkness of his face. No, wait, not circles. One circle. Only one eye. Seemed like the other had been cut out from his head.
"New York. Ye're on the wrong continent," she relaxed a bit, but still kept her guard up. By now her eyes started to clear a bit and she noticed a pair of messed up wings on his back. Looks like he had been fighting quite a bit before landing here.
"Oh shit, not again," he looked up in the sky and mumbled few more cursewords. Very un-angelic shit. God must really love that one here. "He said one more trick like that and I'll be going up for an adoption. Guess that's it now."
"Who said that?" Onyx was a little confused. Angels were supposedly the highest-ranking downworlders in the existence. Who could possibly be stronger? Can I give a little hint? Name starts with G, at least in English.
"Oh, pops," he looked around nervously and pulled a ratty piece of map out of his pocket. He opened it and brushed off some fairy dust and bug corpses. "He's really strict about making us all good warriors. I've got the fighting part but getting in the right place to fight, that's the problem."
"Well, ya won't get to Paris with that map," she noted after glancing at the map. Guy looked up from the piece of paper and stared at her blankly.
"Why?"
"Because it's a map of China," she didn't show it, but she was mildly amused by that idiotic angel. He seemed to be a real moron. Top-class clown. A true- okay, you get the picture, I'll stop.
"Well, that explains a lot," small droplets of water started falling on the map and they both looked up, just to see thick rainclouds and hear thunder rumbling.
"Oh really," he mumbled and got hit by purple lightning. Three times in a row. "That is just childish," he continued and got hit again. At least now he had enpugh braincells awake not to say anything. Seems like his pops really was bit childish, because with last lightning bolt that hit the ground, burnt words appeared on the pavement. 'You're grounded'
"Want me to help ya find another map?" Onyx said monotonely, pointing at the burnt scraps of last one. She didn't show it, but now she felt bit responsible for him. Gotta help the good ones, eh?
"Yeah, thanks," angel followed him quietly to the small shop on the corner, almost getting lost twolice by doing so and waited until she found the correct map. "You're pretty helpful for demon," he said when Onyx handed him the paper.
"Half demon," she corrected sternly. "I have no other connection to those bastards than half of the blood flowing in me veins." Waiiit, that sounds pretty metal. I gotta remember that line for times to come. Parents a.k.a givers of the blood flowing in my veins.
"That's prettu harsh, taking the demon half came from your mother, who gave birth to you," he was already staring at the map, concentrating.
"Why do ya think me mother was a demon?"
"Umm...other half of you is a vampire and vampire females can't reproduce. Well, technically older males can't either, so your dad must have been one of the new generation," he pointed at the red spot on the map. "Is that Paris?"
"No that's New Zealand," she said and pointed on Paris, "here,"
"Oh, thanks a lot," he grinned, baring his teeth that were the only thing that weren't shadowy about him. It was actually pretty creepy. Dark black face and then some sharp white fangs in it. Brr, terrible. But awesome too. Deep red eyes and fangs. He looked more like a monster than angel.
He opened his dark wings, but before he could jump in the air and fly away, Onyx grabbed his arm and pulled him back on the ground with a thump.
"Oh no," she started dragging him down the street. "I don't trust ya to get there by yourself. We're going to airport."
