"And what can I get you darling" You smiled cheerily at another one of those rough and cute guys you never had a chance with. He looked at the menu and thought for a moment.
One of his eyes was covered in a web of scars that also went to his forehead and cheek. For a second you thought about what had happened but then scolded yourself mentally. Whatever it was, it had probably hurt a lot and he wanted to forget it. Also, humans always asked about such things so he was probably sick about talking about it.
"Erm... just a black coffee, please," you nodded.
"Name please," you gave him a lopsided smile. "Or I can just call you mine?" He looked little confused before smiling back.
"Zoro, and that was ridiculous," you got to making the coffee and even had time to pretend to be hurt.
"Ridiculous? Nah, it was smooth," and I got you to smile, you added in your head.
"Do you flirt with everyone who comes here or am I special?"
"Only with cute guys," you scribbled his name on the cup before filling it with coffee and putting on lid. "And with everyone on Thursdays."
"Then I'm lucky it's Monday," you gave him to coffee and said a cheery goodbye. Damn, that was a nice beginning to a week, you thought and your smile stretched even wider before turning to another client in the line. It wasn't the rush hour yet, but already quite few people were waiting so you could give them their ambrosia. Just kidding. But first coffee of the day always tastes like that.
Only after the guy got outside he noticed what you had written there.
MINE ;) with a small heart as i-dot. On the lower part you had also scribbled your number and name. He grinned like a doofus.
Next day
"Lovely to see you again," you grinned at the punk cutie from yesterday. "The same as yesterday."
"Yeah. No line today?" He had been expecting a one, to be honest. You seemed like a that sort of person who was flirty and cheery with everyone.
"Oh well," you placed a hand on your heart and mocked a heartbroken expression. "I waited and waited for a call from you, and after I got nothing, I realised that prehaps our true love was not meant to be." You even pretended to wipe a tear from the corner of your eye. The melodramatics only made Zoro laugh.
"Okay, if you say so," he pretended to be as heartbroken as you. "I actually waited for today to ask you for a date...but if you say I have no hope..." woman behind him in the line laughed and the tips of your ears felt hot. What the fuck. A date. Okay.
"Welll," you pretended to think while scribbling on his cup. "Are you free on Saturday?"
"Eight o'clock?"
"Deal," you handed him the coffee and watched him leave with a stupidest grin on his face.
"Good one, lady," a little girl next to the laughing lady raised her hand so you could fistbump her, which almost made the lady double over in laughter.
"Damn right Skippy," you winked at her and turned to the lady to take her order. You and a date in the same sentence, who would've thought?
