You sat on the docks, swishing your legs above the water so they were slightly sprayed with the  salt of sea. You munched on your breadroll and looked at the sunset.

"Y/N?" A voice you knew very well suddenly called out. "Are you here?"

"No mama," you called back and stuffed rest of the roll in your mouth. You stood up and grabbed rest of the loaf from next to you and ran up to your mama. "Hiya." She dusted some sand off your face and looked at the bread you were holding.

"Where did you get that?" She asked accusingly. "I thought I told you that stealing is bad," she put her hands on her hips.

"I didn't steal it," you protested and pointed over to a yellow submarine standing at the docks. "A guy with red hair told me that their captain doesn't like bread so they have to throw their secret stashes out. And then he gave it to me because I was pretty hungry."

She stopped her scolding look and glanced over to the submarine. Her face paled and she grabbed your sweaty little hand started to drag you away from it. She didn't get very far from it when a voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Hello, Alexandra," (just pretend it's your mom's name) your mommy didn't even turn around but you glanced over your shoulder. There stood a tall man in stark black coat and fluffed hat. On his back was a large sword, as if to remind everyone not to pick fights with him. "Long time no see. Are you leaving already?"

Your mama turned around slowly and forced a smile. Her cheeks were little red and you noticed her hand clutching the fabric of her skirt where you had dropped some sauce earlier.

"Hello captain," she said stiffly and pulled your arm a little so you were standing behind here. "What are you doing here?"

"Can't I come to see an old friend?" Law smirked and your mother's face grew hot.

"It has been six years already. I figured you guys did as I asked and forgot about me."

"How could we? And you never said why you left," his yellow eyes stopped on you and your little heart stopped beating from fear.

"You know I never wanted to be a pirate for my whole life," mama chuckled. "And now I have a life here, thanks for asking. That actually reminds me," she kneeled next to you so you were protected from the sight of the pirate. "Y/N, be a good girl and run home now. And don't forget to tell uncle Andy we'll bring him brownies later." You were going to run along but the pirate stopped you.

"Wait there little beast," he looked at mama. "Is it yours?"

"Sure is,"mama stuck her chin out and raised an arm around you protectively.

"Oh calm down I am not going to eat it," you squeaked in fear, imagining how the terrible pirate usually ate little children. "How old are you little....human?"

"Five," you stuck your chin out like mommy and grinned.

"And who's your father?" Law continued, uneasy feeling settling in his stomach. His brain ran quickly some calculations and sadly they matched with Alexandra leaving the crew and you being born. There was also something familiar in you, although you were almost absolutely a copy of your stunning mother.

"He left," mama had told you that many times, so you just repeated it. Pirate didn't look so scary anymore and you squinted a bit  looking up to him. "Are you really a pirate?"

"Whose is this teacup human?" Law asked form mama, ignoring your question.

"Mine," mama said firmly.

"No I meant-"

"I know damn well what you meant, Trafalgar Law," mama was getting angry. You took a small step aside to enjoy the show. It was always amusing to watch when mama got angry at someone other than yourself. "And I'm saying it's my child and you have no claim over neither of us."

"I know it," he bit, voice harsh for the first time. "I know how goddamn headstrong you can be and I'm not trying to take the kid from you. I just want to know if it's mine."

"You are the dad biologically, congratulations," your mama tugged your hand slightly to make you come with her. "Let's go now or we'll leave uncle Andy waiting." While walking away you did your best to look over your shoulders at the lonely pirate left behind.

Next day

"Is it real?" You hanged over the edge of stone wall to look down at the man sitting in the shadow of it. Your voice was slightly muffled because you were eating a sandwich but he still managed to understand you.

"Isn't your mommy looking for you?" He dragged his words slowly.

"Are you really my dad?" You ignored his question and when he nodded you accidentally dropped the sandwich on his face. "Uh, sorry," he pushed the piece of bread grimly away from himself. "Are you a pirate?"

"Your mother used to be a pirate too," he said, wondering how much Alex had told you about her life. Your eyes lit up in interest.

"Yeah? That's rocking," you hauled yourself over the stonewall and landed next to Law, your bare feet thumping on the ground. "You gotta show me your ship."

"Nah, better not," Law got up from the ground and dusted his jeans. "I'll better take you back to your mommy. And if she agrees you can come back some day," he added, noticing your pleading puppydog eyes.

"Ooookkkaaaayyyy," you raised your arms and waited.

"What is it?"

"You gotta carry me on your back," you instructed and waited until he picked you up, tiredly rolling his eyes. When you were safely seated on his shoulders you pointed with a chubby finger down the lane. "That way." Pirate walked pretty slowly and you had time to look around. It was cool to be so tall.

"So why does mommy let you run around on your own like this?" He asked, seemingly uninterested. But don't believe the facade, he was dying to know the answer.

"Uncle Andy was supposed to babysit me but he fell asleep and I got bored," you raised your arm and picked a cherry blossom from a tree in the garden you passed. You tucked the flower behind your ear.

Law felt bit annoyed, hearing about that 'uncle Andy' again, but he also couldn't say anything about it. He was also annoyed by the fact that Alex already seemed to have someone else, who also got to grow his kid up. Of course, he couldn't even dream about raising child on the ship, but still. It felt uncomfortable to think that he probably wouldn't see neither of you before next year.

"Who's that uncle?" He asked. You were busy with another handful of blossoms which got stuck in his hat, so you didn't hear him and Law had to repeat his question.

"Mama's brother, he's pretty old," you fuffed the hat bit more. It reminded you of your favourite panda plushie. "But he gives me cookies." Alright, that was much better.

"Y/N," mama looked over the fence with worried look on her face and you waved to her. "I was worried. Don't go wandering without telling me."

"That's alright," you grinned. "Papa brought me back."

"He..did?" Mama's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "How....nice."

"Yay," Law helped you off his shoulders and put you down. You grabbed his fingers and dragged him after you to the garden. "Mama can we give him a cookie for it?"
