Ace X Reader

You walked happily down your usual road in the middle of forest. Grim trees were wrapped in thick mist, but you were already so used to it you almost didn't notice. That and you also had really good eyes. Perks of being a cat, I guess.

You finally reached small shack in the woods and waved slightly to the dark-haired girl who was sitting in front of it and writing something. Girl looked up but her melancholic expression didn't change. You went closer and she started to talk. You almost groaned. Bad things always happened when Alice talked.

"We have a new one coming," she said sadly. Your eyes perked up. Okay maybe not so bad news. "I think they're coming the same way I did."

"Do you want me to go check it out?" Your tail whisked from side to side. You really wanted to go and check it out.

"Would you mind?" Said Law who had come out of the house, carrying a tray with teacups and cookies. You sniffed the air slightly and decided to pass tea in this house. Law used to be in another book before he came to wonderland, something to do witg being a doctor and someone called Frankie? Frank? Frankenweenie? Something like that, and he still had a bad habit of mixing medicine into his food and drinks.

"Kitty would love that," Alice said as a matter of factly and your tail moved even faster. Bit because she had answered  you and partly because you were embarrased you had been found out so easily. "I came out by the Mushrooms, so you can start from there." She lowered her head and scribbled in her notebook.

"Want some cookies on the way?" Law offered but you were already on your way. Someone new in Wonderland. It would be...it would be...it would be just wonderful!

You giggled lightly and skipped a few steps before regaining your usual mysterious and cool aura. You had a reputation to hold up, after all. As long as you could do something about it, no one could say that Cheshire Cat acted silly, just like no one did while your father was the Cat, or grandmother.

You reached the Valley of Crystal Mushrooms that Alice told you about and started to sniff around. Mushrooms gleamed in hundreds of colours as the sunlight shone through them. They were real mushrooms, and delicious on top of that, as Sanji often reminded you. But you always found them weird to eat, because they looked exactly like statues made of diamonds.

Luckily they didn't smell very strongly, so you were able to pick up new scent pretty easily. That and you also heard a loud thump when he stepped through the door on top of one of the mushrooms, slipped on it and fell into pile of rotten blowberries. Berries did as their name guided, they blew up with noise and lots of rotten berryjuice squirted on the plants nearby.

You hid behind one of the larger mushrooms and looked as the newbie got up from the stinky mess and swore loudly, still half-deaf from the explosions. You waited until he limped to one of the puddles that gathered near mushrooms and cleaned himself up a bit. Wow. Newbie was cute.

It was a boy, that much was clear. With a thick mop of inky curls and a handful of cinnamon coloured freckles over his face and arms. He also wore a pair of thick glasses that he was currently trying to clean up, and cursed a bit when he saw that one of the glasses was fractured. (I know that Ace doesn't really wear glasses, but I saw that one fanart of with glasses and let me tell you, it was hotter than a supernova.)

You stepped out from your hiding place, careful not to make a sound. You willed your body to turn hard to notice, because there is no such thing as invisble, and walked in front of him. He looked around in alarm, and squeaked when he saw you standing right in front of him, fangs gleaming in the light of cristals.

Your nose was close enough to touch his and you sniffed lightly to make sure if he was a good person. He smelled like chocolate and those explosives Usopp always played around with. Chocolate means friend.
