You opened your eyes and felt a weight on you crushing your ribs. One glance tol you everything. Sabo was in your bed again. Ever since the last week he ended up there drunk he had slept almost every night with you. And he was a terrible monster to share bed with.
Firstly he always stole you blanket and usually pushed that on the ground. So you often got cold in the night and had to find the blanket from somewhere he tossed it.
Secondly he didn't know how to share space. He never pushed you off the bed, but rather rolled on top of you. And that usually meant crushing. Like right now. You couldn't breath.
You gathered all of your strenght and pushed him off you, so he landed on the ground with a bit of a noise. You looked at him worriedly but he just kept snoring.
When someone knocked on your door you grabbed the blanket and pulled it over yourself so it would look like you had been sleeping. The door opened and elderly cook looked in.
"Are you alright? I heard some noise?"
"Yes," you tossed the blanket over the edge of the bed so it would cover Sabo's lwgs which were visible from the back of the bed. "I had a nightmare and I fell off the bed. But I am alright now. Thank you for your concern." Cook nodded and closed the door again. The room was dark so you laid down again to go to sleep.
In this day and age it wasn't unusual for a servant to have an affair with master or mistress, but servants gossip. And if it had gotten out you had a man in your room, who -even if he was your friend- was also your master, who had questionable honour and more bad habits than hair in the head, you honour wouldn't only have been questionable then, it would have been nonexistant.
"Why did you kick me out again?" Sabo got up from the floor and fell on the bed, hugging your arm. "Do you hate me?"
"No sir," you felt it was really weird to call him that when you both in bed but politness had to be first. "But I'd really appreciate it if you'd go and sleep in your own bed for a change. Since we don't have much room in here and all."
"Then we gotta keep really close," he wiggled closer and wrapped his arms around you. So much of getting rid of him.
"Sorry sir, but I'm going to get in trouble with others if you don't leave me alone for the nights," he pouted angrily and hissed.
"Who cares? You smell nice, so even if you get in trouble they can't hate you for long," his reasoning was becoming more and more unlogical with every day. Poor vampire, age must be getting to him.
"There isn't much point in arguing, is there?" You sighed as he nodded excitedly. "Alright then. You can come here for two nights a week."
"Four and I'll also dispose of my juiceboxes by myself," he argued.
"Three and you dispose of them."
"Alright deal," he gave you a kiss on the cheek. When he was that close you actually saw how his eyes were little unnaturally bright for a human. And how his lips were holding bit weirdly like his mouth was half full of food. "Like what you see?"
"You know I do," you rolled your eyes, embarrased to be caught staring. "You could convince Pope to become satanist if you truly wanted, so why shouldn't I be charmed?"
"I don't know," he shrugged and sniffed on your neck a bit. "You never really seem to care."
"I voluntarily clean up the bodies of women and men you have murdered so the rest of the house wouldn't find out you are a vampire," he hissed at the word, finding it unpleasant. "I feel it's safe to say I'm charmed sir."
