You blinked slowly few times, annoyed by the bright light that shone in through the window. You turned your head a bit and were a bit surprised to see someone laying in the bed next to you. Not surprised that you had slept with someone last night,  that happened more often than you cared to remember. But usually they were gone by the morning. Oh wait, it wasn't your apartment. Nevermind.  You had to leave.

You fought the urge to poke him to see if he was really there or if you were still dreaming when he turned his head and gave you full view to his face. Wow, you thought to yourself. I must have been really really drunk last night. Guys like him weren't usually your type.

Suddenly the snoring stopped and you assumed he had woken up. Which he had. Surprise.

"Morning," you looked over and replied to the gruff greeting. Another silent moment. That was getting really awkward. Not really. You were already use to the awkward. Just silence was bit bothering.

"Umm...I'll be on my way then," you got out of the bed and shuffled around for your clothes which were all scattered around on the floor. "Thanks."

"You don't do that much do you?" He laughed at your awkward expression. "I mean, stay over until they wake up."

"Not really, I try to get lost before that," you searched for the lost sock. In the flower pot, alright. "It was nice though. Wait, is it okay to compliment you?"

"Dunno," he shrugged. You tumbled with the buttons on your shirt, finally dressed.

"So anyways, thanks for everything, see you never," you were already heading out of the door when you heard a light chuckle. "What is it?"

"Are you really going like this?" He cocked an eyebrow amusedly.

"Uh sorry if you expected a hug and a kiss, but yes. This is me. Leaving."

"I meant that didn't you forget something," he waited until you thought about it. "Maybe like your jeans." You glanced down and blushed embarrasedly.

"Oh well, could have been worse," you dug in a heap of clothes until you found your lime green jeans. "Once I walked out without my favourite bra."

"Would you like to come over another time?" You stood up really quick.

"You mean like relationship? You know, you don't seem to be a bad guy and don't be offended but better not."

"I actually meant more like friends with benefits," you laughed relievedly. "I take you're not very big in relationships."

"You could say so," you finished dressing for the second time and looked over at him,  still half-laying half-sitting on the bed in a mess of bedclothes. Hot. "And about your offer - I would take the benefits any minute, but I'm not very keen on that 'friends' part."

"Perfect. Can I have your number then?"

Three months later

"You can't believe what I did today?" You almost yelled, bursting into Lucci's apartment. You had done well for the first month in 'only benefits' thing, but later you had also became sort of friends.

"No but you'll probably tell me right now," he barely looked up from his instant ramen. For someone so fit he really had terrible eating habits. "And really loudly too."

"Oh hush," you nudged him playfully with elbow as you went to the fridge to get something to eat. "You know the cute guy I told you about last week."

"Which one of them?"

"You know, nice skin, funny, long nose, likes giraffes," you sighed dreamily.

"The dude who wouldn't shut up about the damn animals," he finally remembered.
