GreenR: alright. Another one of those stories which come out as okay at the start.
Law: but turn WTF at the end.
GreenR: can't really argue with that. Oh and one more thing. I have sort of described depression in this one.
Law: so if it's a trigger for you
GreenR: don't read. Really, I wouldn't want anyone else to fall into depression again.
Law: because we may be jackasses
GreenR: but we really care about you guys
Law: and your mental health is just as important
GreenR: as physical health.
Law: but if you do read, please enjoy it
GreenR: and have a good time.

You scrolled down your Tumblr, searching for something funny. But nada. Yawning, you finally closed the page and planned to put your phone down, but it started buzzing and blasting annoying ringtone.
Picking it up you took one look at the caller ID before setting it onto video call and grinning into camera. Luffy grinned back at you from the other side and you tried to make out by his surroundings where he was, but it was too dark.
"Hi commander," you chirped happily and plopped down on your bed, getting ready for a long call.
"Hiya, whatcha up to?" His voice sounded bland on the speaker, but still familiar and warm. You shrugged and said something about going to sleep soon.
"Where are ya anyways?" You squinted, thinking you finally made out the shadows behind him, but still no luck.
"Australia, Zoro sailed the ship bit off the course so we had to stop here for supplies," he laughed at his friend's bad sense of direction and you noticed how tan he was, and also how long his hair had grown over the few months you hadn't seen him.
"Dummy. How's it there? Anything dangerous so far?"
"Every second thing tries to kill us around here, but nah, not too bad, you'd like it around here," he laughed and you felt a sharp pain string your heart. You kept smiling in spite of pain and procceeded to tell him a story about how Nami had taken you to a weird bar and you had gotten both of you kicked out of there.
"Man, I thought I was going to die when we had to run away from the guards," you finished and when you looked back at your phone his face was serious.
"Why did you think that? Y/N, are you in the hospital now?" You shook your head, mad at yourself that you had let such a small detail slip out and blow your cover. Gott verdammt.
"Have you been ever since we went away?"
"Just the usual checkups," you lied with a smile and saw him looking at you with hurt expression. So he had gotten it. What a surprise. "I swear."
"For how long? Has it gotten worse? Do you need me to come home?"
"If you say something like that one more time I'll put the phone away," you threatened and coughed a bit. You reached to the nightstand for water you took a big gulp and then went back to the call.
"So, dya know when you'll stop by here again?" You asked with suppressed hope and longing in his voice. Sometimes it really would have been easier if you just told him how sick you were and didn't hide and lie.
"Ummm....you wanna hear something funny?" He looked over his shoulder for a moment and yelled something before turning back to you.
"Sure," you shrugged and adjusted the pillow behind your back. "What is it?"
