Chapter 49: Danger

Dillenna Heera's Point of View:

Magdamag kong hinintay na umuwi si Demon pero hindi siya dumating. Nang subukan namin siyang tawagan, hindi na namin siya ma-contact. Naibaling ko ang atensiyon ko nang tumunog ang doorbell. Nagkatinginan kami ni Chase. It could be mom and dad, or it could be him.

"I'll go check it." I volunteered.

"Just wait for the guard to come here—"

"No. Baka si Demon na rin yan eh."pagpupumilit ko.

"Sasamahan nalang kita."

Bigla akong kinabahan nang papalapit kami ng papalapit sa gate. The guard was about to open it when Chase stopped him.

But who is it? Who is trying to harm us? From the guard house, lumabas ang apat na guards para rumesponde. Kasunod na nakita ko ay si Chase na tumatakbo papunta sa'kin. May tama siya sa kanang balikat.

"Run to the backyard, goddess. I called for a chopper. Any minute, it will be here."he commanded panicking.

"Samahan mo 'ko Chase. I'm scared."umiiyak na hiling ko sa kanya.

"Wait, Chase. Was that Gavin?"I managed to ask him despite the panic I'm feeling.

"Yes. Someone shoot him."

What? Akala ko siya ang sumugod na may dalang baril. Jesus Christ! Oh God. Please let him be fine. Sana hindi siya napuruhan. A minute after the chopper arrived, we heard loud exchanging clamors of guns. We hurried to the chopper. Eksaktong nakaupo na ako nang maramdaman kong sumakit ang tiyan ko. Nooo. Manganganak na yata ako.

"Oh no!!!" He exclaimed and reached for the mic. "Tito James, manganganak na yata si Dillenna. Let's go directly to the hospital tito."

Ang lakas ng kabog ng puso ko. Ang sakit-sakit ng puson ko. Napahawak ako ng mahigpit sa kamay ni Chase.

"Please call Theon please. Tawagan mo siya, Chase... Aaaahhh!"napasigaw ako sa sobrang sakit.

Kitang-kita kong natataranta si Chase. Biglang tumunog ang phone at agad na sinagot niya 'yon.

"Tita Kath. Dumiretso po kayo sa hospital. Manganganak na po yata si Dillenna."he said and automatically ended the call to dial a number. "Shit! Jed, sumagot ka."

"Ahhhhh! Chaaaaaase!!!!"I cried out.

Baby... baby, hold on. Wag ka munang lumabas baby please. Ang sakit na talaga. Para akong mahihimatay. Finally, I glimpsed at the hospital building. Habang nakahiga ako sa hospital stretcher at itinakbo papuntang delivery room, wala akong ibang nakikita kundi ang nakangiting mukha ni Theon. Nandito kasi siya dapat ngayon. Siya dapat ang nakahawak sa mga kamay ko.

My vision slowly got blurry. Before I saw myself going in a room, I smelled his scents and I saw his worried face crying my name.

Chase' Point of View:

Eksaktong pagdating namin ng hospital ay dumating rin ang mga magulang niya. Dumiretso na agad ako sa lugar kung saan sigurado akong nando'n sina Theon at Jed. Sana nabasa niya ang message ko. I saw the look on Dillenna's eyes earlier, she literally needs him. Of course, he's the father of her child. He needs to be there whether she needs him or not. Ngunit pagdating ko sa hang out namin. Wala akong nadatnan. Wala narin do'n ang mga kasamahan namin.

Jed Damon's Point of View:

Magdamag kong pinahirapan si Crawford. Gusto ko lang marinig sa kanya na lalayo siya. But he was persistent! He kept babbling about getting Dillenna from me.

"Kailangan ako ni Dillenna at ng anak ko. JD, tigilan mo na 'to. What happened between me and your sister is just a misunderstanding. We're just friends. He just asked me to pretend to make Easton jealous."sabi niya sa'kin sa tonong nagmamakaawa.

"Alam ko. I was so damn stupid for doing that. Inaamin kong gago ako. Nagpakaduwag ako. I swear, hindi ko na siya sasaktan ulit. Mahal na mahal ko si Dillenna."

Sa tuwing binabanggit niyang mahal niya si Dillenna, nanggagalaiti akong saktan siya.

If he only knew how devastated she was after all that he did to her! She was so down and lost. She was so broken and just like that, he'd tell me he loves her! Who the fuck loves a person and tortures them!??

"Alam kong ikaw ang mahal niya. Pero hindi ako kasing tanga mo kaya hindi ko hahayaang saktan mo siya ulit. I won't even let you touch a single strand of her hair!"

It took me by surprise. He cried in front of me. WTH??? Just as he tried pleading to me telepathically, I glanced at my phone. I saw missed calls from Chase. There was a message. I clicked it open and read it.

From: Chase

Someone tried to kill Dillenna. We took the chopper. Mukhang manganganak na siya Jed. She looked for Crawford. Just let him go, Jed. She needs him.
