Chapter 23: The Couple's Get-Away

Dillenna Heera's Point of View:

Japan! Here we are! Mahimbing na natutulog sa balikat ko si Theon habang dumadagundong ang puso ko sa sobrang excitement. I glanced at his sleeping-meek face. Lalong lumakas ang tibok ng puso ko.

"Ang gwapo ba masyado ng asawa mo?" Napairap ako sa biglang pagsasalita niya. Ito 'yong bagay na kinaiinisan ko sa kanya mula noon pa. Talagang ang conceited eh. Ang lakas ng bilib sa sarili.

"Jerk."

"I love you too."

Kinabahan ulit ako. I stared at him whose eyes are still closed. Mahal ko ba siya all this time, hindi ko lang maamin-amin? Hindi ko alam. Hindi ako sigurado sa nararamdaman ko sa kanya.

"It's okay Dillenna. Hindi naman kita minamadali. Kahit nga 'wag mo na akong mahalin, basta 'wag mo lang akong iwan. Sapat na sa'kin 'yon."

Bumigat 'yong dibdib ko sa sinabi niya. I don't know what to say. Inangat niya ang ulo niya at saka ngumiti sa'kin. I smiled awkwardly at him.

"I'm the luckiest man alive. I have the most beautiful wife."

If he continues complimenting and praising me, I'm really going to melt. I have never imagined him to be the arrogant him and so sweet and romantic at the same time.

On our first night in Japan, we went to Dotonbori grand canal. I narrated him the story of my parents. My mom and dad haven't seen each other for a long while while mom took care of tito Yves (mom's first fiance and bestfriend) in Japan and dad was left in the Philippines.

"Dito mismo, mom told me last time we're here, dito mismo niya kinausap si tito Yves sa phone niya nang makita niya si daddy. Nagkita sila ulit. And the twist Theon? Sinadya pala ni tito Yves na takbuhan si mommy para magkita sila. Dad's exgirlfriend is tito Yves' cousin. They set up my parents. Ang martyr di ba?"

Nakangiti lang siya habang pinapakinggan ako. Sakay ng cruise sa grand canal, I continued telling him my parents' love story.

"Hanggang ngayon talaga, kinikilig pa rin ako sa story nina mommy't daddy."

"Their story is like in movies."

"I overheard them talking one time that they're just going to focus running our business. They're planning to quit acting."

"That would make their supporters really sad."

"Sure thing. But I believe they'll still support them."

"I was just wondering, 'yong storya kaya natin... magiging kasing ganda't saya ng sa mga magulang mo?"he asked.

I was caught off-guard. That was unpredictable.

"We don't know yet. We can't tell. But we can make everything work, right?"I answered eventually.

"Yes. That's for sure. As long as you won't leave me, we'll be as happy as them."

Nagtataka ako habang patungo kami sa maling suite. Magtatanong sana ako but he signalled me to be quiet. I did as told because I'm a good girl, you know. xD He knocked thrice. It opened after a few minutes.

"Honey!"mom exclaimed.

"Hey mom! I missed you. Where's dad?" Akmang sisilip ako sa loob ng harangan ako ni mama. I noticed she's only on her robe.

Uminit 'yong pisngi ko. I glanced at Theon who's now forcing not to give out a giggle.

"Whatever mom. We'll see you tomorrow. I'm already sleepy."I reasoned out.

Hinila ko na si Theon pabalik sa foyer towards our suite. We laughed simultaneously until we reached the room. We ended up staring at each other and stopped laughing. He removed the few strands of hair wandering on my face.

"You're so beautiful."he whispered with our faces just an inch away.

His scent is drowning me. I suddenly feel the tingling sensation again especially when his lips brushed with mine. I slowly closed my eyes and placed my hands around his nape. He lifted me without ending the kiss and gently led me to the bed.

As he poured kisses on my earlobe down to my neck, I suddenly got scared. I haven't done this all my life. Not that I'm not willing to give it to him, I just really don't know how to do it.

"I'm scared, Theon." I whispered.

He stopped and lie down beside me.

"Why did you stop?"

He faced me and gave me his genuine smile. Taking my hand, he gazed fixedly at me. He lifted my hands to kiss them.

"Shall we sleep?"he muttered.

Umusod siya papalapit sa'kin to envelop me in his arms.

"I love you Dillenna."he whispered. "Goodnight." He kissed my forehead and we closed our eyes together.
