Chapter 32: Stay

Dillenna Heera's Point of View:

Apalled, I got up from bed when I heard the din of the airplane which is about to land in the imposing lawn of the mansion. I took a robe to cover myself and ran downstairs.

"Are you out of your mind Chase!? Where's she?"Damon blared at him.

Instead of stopping them from whatever their encounter will lead them to, I stayed nailed to the staircase. I couldn't move while I watched them. Damon's angry and he's gripping Chase' neckline to choke him.

"Why did you it? What the fuck were you thinking?"Damon's voice echoed the room.

"I was only trying to protect her."mahinang sagot ni Chase na nagpaarko ng kilay ko.

"Protect her from what???"

"From you. I was only protecting her from you."

What is he talking about? What would he protect me from the person who has helped me get through my bad times?

"Jed, I can't watch her hurting again. I have to stop you because I know you're only using her—"

For a short length of time, my heart stopped beating. I couldn't have heard that right. No. He can't say that. Without taking their attention, I ran back to the room and hugged myself on my knees.
