Startled, I woke up because of the scent filling my nostrils. I know it's his. However, there was no one when I woke up. I then realized that I was wearing his shirt. Maybe, this it then. He wasn't really around. Bumilis na naman ang tibok ng puso ko. Hays. Kailan ko ba siya makakalimutan? Bakit naman kasi bigla ko siyang nami-miss?

"Babygirl..."salubong niya sa'kin nang palabas na ako ng kwarto.

Shit! Dillenna!!!! Ba't ka naman kasi nagpunta rito?

"The—Theon."

He smiled and even without my permission, he hugged me.

"Baby."he whispered while I let out my tears welling from my eyes. "Dillenna... miss na miss kita."

"The—Theon... I—I have to go."utal ko habang sinubukan kong kumalas sa yakap niya.

"No. Baby, please stay."

Oh my God. Miss na miss ko siya. Gustong-gusto kong pahintuin ang oras para manatili lang kaming ganito. Nanlumo ako nang bitiwan niya ako. I thought he was letting me go but I was wrong. Hilam sa luha ang mga mata niya. Hinawakan niya ang pisngi ko nang nakangiti sa'kin.

"Dillenna, ikaw parin ang mahal ko. Ikaw lang."

Napahikbi ako nang tahimik matapos marinig ang sinabi niya.

"Mahal na mahal kita."

"Theon."

He leaned down to kiss me and I let him. I was too engulfed with my longing for him that I can't search any protest in me. I closed my eyes and kissed him back.

Dillenna, this is wrong. Go away. You're just hurting yourself.

"Baby, sumama ka sa'kin. Let's leave. Let's try to work everything out again. Don't leave me babygirl."

Afraid I might do something crazy, I shook my head and ignored his tempting offer. I tried to smile at him while I slowly let go of his hand. Bago pa niya ako maabutan, tumakbo na agad ako palabas ng bahay.

"Honey? Where have you been?"mommy asked immediately when she saw me home.

"I—uhm. I went back to Damon's place mom."I answered without facing her.

Pinunasan ko ang pisngi kong nabasa ng luha habang pauwi ako. Mom and dad musn't find out about the stupid thing I did.

"That guy seems so kind. I like him. I meant, your dad and I liked him."

"Do you, dad?"I tried to sound cheerful and faced them.

Namula 'yong mukha ni daddy. They like Damon, indeed. Well, I like him too. Despite my weak state, he has never taken advantage of me. When I have come to know the real him, I have realized that chivalry isn't really dead.

"He's courting you, isn't he?"tanong ni dad. "Sit down honey, kumain ka na."

Naupo ako't napatingin kay mommy na ngumingiti.

"Mom. Don't give me that smile. I don't know what Damon's doing. I think he's just being a good friend to me."

"He asked for our permission to court you—"mom announced trying not to giggle.
