Chapter 24: The Another

Liam's Point of View

Don't ask me anything about my holidays because it's plain and boring. I just stayed at home alone. My parents went to New York to spend Christmas and I have chosen to stay. I must add, the holiday without Dillenna Heera made everything worse. It's very hard to spend a day without thinking about her. She's the only woman, except Amity, I have given all my attention. Hindi man lang niya ako naisipang tawagan.

December 24. Dahil hindi na ako makapagpigil pa, I missed her so bad... I went to their house. I even disturbed her parents' vacation just to get her address. Hindi ako mapakali. I don't know if she's fine. Gusto ko siyang kumustahin.

I remembered how excited I was to ring the doorbell and ended up heading home without seeing her. When I phoned her to greet a merry christmas, she told me she's in Japan with her "husband". Hanggang ngayon talaga, parang ang hirap paring tanggapin na pagmamay-ari na siya ng iba. Dati, lahat ng nanliligaw sa kanya dumadaan pa sa'kin. All the guys she admired ended up as the guys she hated because I always made up stories about them. Maliban nalang sa Matthew na 'yon. Kahit ilang ulit ko siyang diniscourage sa kanya, she's still head-over-heels with him. The ironic thing is none of the guys she wanted became the man she's spending her whole life with.

"Liam!"

Here is Amity who spent her holidays in London. She called me last New Year's Eve where I intently ignored her call. I even blocked her number afterwards.

"Ba't hindi kita macontact? Binlock mo 'ko 'no?"

"Ewan ko sa'yo. Kapag ikaw talaga hindi titigil sa kaka-text sa taong 'yon, kakalimutan ko talagang kaibigan kita."

"Ikaw ang magmove on. Asawa ng kaibigan natin pinagnanasaan mo."

"Siya naman 'yong pinag-uusapan namin ni Theon."

"Kahit na. My point is... you like him. You have an ulterior motive that's why you keep on texting him."

"Oo na. Titigil na. Hindi mo kasi ako naiintindihan. Five years Liam, I've been secretly in love with him for five years. I really want to move on... but it's so hard."malungkot na saad niya.

Sabay kaming napalingon sa kanya. She's smiling as she wave at us. Tumayo agad ako para salubungin siya habang nakasunod naman si Amity sa'kin. Niyakap ko agad siya.

"I miss you baby. Hindi ka talaga nagpakita sa'kin—"I was cut off mid-sentence nang tumikhim si Theon.

Bahala siya. I just missed my baby so much. God. Why have you created such woman with perfection? She's so beautiful.

"I told you! We went to Japan. Teka. I have something for you here."she paused and faced him. "Theon..."

He handed her a paper bag na ibinigay niya naman agad sa'kin. Nakangiti parin siya. She seems so happy and cheerful. Has she fallen for him already?

"Wala ba'ng sa'kin?"singit ni Amity.

"Nag-London ka kaya."asar ni Dillenna na tumawa pa.

"Ah gano'n?"
