(F/N) = Friend's Name
------------------------------------------------

You're sitting down with your friend, (F/N), at a little coffee shop on the outskirts of town. It's a beautiful shop made out of the downstairs of the consecutive townhouses. The shop front is a stunning conservatory with brown tiles along the floor. The back of the shop is just made out of a bar and a kitchen. It is the most adorable thing in a 3 mile radius.

"Are you only grumpy because your brother's got a girlfriend~?" (F/N) teases as she picks up a sugar cube out of the little bowl in the centre of the table.

"My brother's too much of a weeb to get a girlfriend. I swear he's gotten into some stupid anime. Why else would he wear an eyepatch?" You huff, taking a sip of your tea.

"Maybe he's going through a pirate phase. My brother went through one," they say as they drop the sugar cube into their tea and stir it was a beautiful metal spoon.

"Yeah, when he was six!" You retaliate as you place you half-empty teacup onto it's ceramic saucer. You turn to the bar and yell to the young chap behind it, "could I get another cup of tea?" The chap gives a nod before turning to the kettle behind him.

"What about that date you told me about?" (F/N) asks.

"I heard she died the night Kaneki was injured. I have no clue what would kill someone and send another person to the surgical ward," you mutter, barely bringing yourself to talk about your past.

"It could've been a-"

"I swear on the large amount of coffee in my kitchen, if you say ghoul..." You scowl as you point to them.

"They are real!" (F/N) whines.

"I refuse to accept the thought that they exist," you say, taking the cup of tea off the waiter.

"Whatever, but you never know what might have happened that night," (F/N) states with a sickening, smug grin.

"Well, Kaneki is not a-" You get cut off by the twinkling bells that hang down from the doorframe ringing venomously. Someone you were least expecting to see burst through the door with a calm, yet disappointed and guilty, expression drawn across his face.

"(Y/N), I need to tell you something."
