Phew. The last lesson, you think to yourself as you check the clock. It displayed 1:55. Shouldn't the children be here by now?

"Oh," an old man says as he opens the door to you classroom, "are you teaching this class?"

"Yes," you smack your lips together, "I would be if they had the decency to turn up."

"Oh," the old man laughs, "they're sitting an exam."

You turn around and roll your eyes. Is it that difficult to tell he substitute teacher that their students are sitting an exam? "Sorry, I'm just a substitute teacher."

He laughs again, "the receptionist isn't much, is she. She's usually out of it."

You nod.

"Here," he threw a wad of paperwork at you, "I was told to give you some paperwork."

"I'm only here for the day."

"I'm know but the headteacher told me to," he winks, "and I'm on my last straw with her."

"Right," you say as you pick the paper up and skim read it.

It's work all about the other students - mostly the ones you haven't taught today - but you do notice one is for Kaneki. You pull it out and start to fill it in. You answer it all honestly like his real teacher would.

"Done," you say as the bell rings. You pull on your bag and walk out of the school. It's so nostalgic since it's been so long since you walked home from school.

You see Kaneki in the courtyard but you stop yourself from running over to talk to him.

Today's been a great day.
