I woke up to the sound of tiny crying coming from down the hall. Then I heard another voice. I stood up, rubbed my eyes, and looked beside me. Finn was gone. I walked down toward the nursery and peeked in to see Finn, sitting on the rocking chair with Aria in his arms, talking to her.
"Come on Aria. Please go back to sleep. We don't wanna wake Mommy, right? She's been through a lot the last two days."
Finn said.
"You know, I love you and your mommy a lot."
He said to the crying baby.
"You two deserve the world. I will always be here to protect you guys. Especially against big, mean guys named Aaron. Soon, you, your mommy, and I will all live in the same house. Then your mommy and I will get married. Hopefully one of us will become a champion or move up to the main roster in the mean time. Then one day, we'll give you a brother or sister. I can already tell you will be the best big sister in the world, even though I've only known you for two days. But I still love you with everything I have in me. Nothing will ever change that. I will never stop loving you or your mommy. You guys make me the happiest person alive. I would never trade you for anything in the world. I love you little Aria Melody. I love you so much."
Finn said to Aria. I felt the tears falling down my cheeks as he placed the now sleeping baby in her crib. He went to exit the nursery but then he saw me.
"Did you mean all that Finn?"
I asked him.
"Everything."
He said, kissing the top of my head, and walking back to the bedroom.
