"I just have no idea what I did wrong."
I said, staring at the fire. I had no more tears left. I had no more feelings left. I was numb. And I let him break me. I let him break me down and crush me.
"You didn't do anything wrong."
He said, moving a little closer towards me. His thick accent left a tiny smile on my face. He wrapped his arm around me as I looked at him. I examined every inch of his face. It felt like home to me.
"What are you doing?"
He asked me with a slight laugh.
"Looking at you."
I said, feeling my cheeks get warm.
"I'm nothing special to look at."
He responded.
"Yet you are."
I said as I bit my bottom lip. I looked into his blue-green eyes as it just happened. The spark was there. It felt like fireworks going on when he was kissing me. Like the Fourth of July. When we released, I smiled.
"You know how they say if you love something, let them go. And if they were ever truly yours, they'll come back to you?"
I asked him.
"Yeah."
He said.
"Well I'm back. I guess I'm yours, Finn."
