"You ready to go home baby girl?"
I asked Emery as she stared at me with her big brown eyes.
"We just have to wait for your daddy and then we can blow this popsicle stand."
I said sighing. I laid down as I waited for Seth.
I scrolled through Instagram as I came across a post that caught my eye.@finnbalor: happy birthday Aria! I can't believe you're already three! I love you with all of my heart and I will never, ever leave you....
I sighed as I looked at the picture. I would've never thought life would've ended out this way. When I first got with Finn, I would've never thought we would've been divorced and he would have custody of the kids.
"You ready?"
I heard Seth say as I looked up from my phone.
"Yeah."
I said, swallowing hard.
"What's wrong?"
Seth asked.
"It's Aria's birthday."
I said, feeling tears stream down my face.
"Oh. Come here."
Seth said, hugging me.
"I feel like such a horrible mom."
I sobbed into his chest.
"You're not a horrible mom. You made the most difficult decision a mother would have to make to give your children a better life. And in my eyes, that makes you the best mom ever."
Seth said, rubbing my back.
"I love you. Thank you."
I said, lifting my head up.
"I love you too. Now let's go home."
