1 Week Later
I stared at all the photos that everyone took of Mia as I sighed. She died the night after she was born and it was hard on everyone. Before I got discharged, Cass, Finn, and Sami came back to the house and took down all of her things so I wasn't reminded of her. Charlotte, Becky, Mella, and Sasha all stayed with me in the hospital room while the guys left town and I was so grateful for all of them.
When we got home, Sasha stayed with us for the first couple of nights until we got settled back in. By the end of the week, I felt like I had no tears left.
I sat on the floor, looking through all the photos as Sasha and I placed it in a frame.
"This is going to be really cute."
Sasha said as a small smile spread across my face.
"I hope so. It's just hard to see her like this and know she'll never have a childhood."
I said.
"I know. It's gonna be hard for a while. But remember, we'll get through this together. As a family."
Sasha said, putting her pinkie out. I smiled as I locked mine with hers.
"As a family."
