It's unfair to hold the stars accountable for taking you
I know it wasn't their doing
But that doesn't change the longing I feel
To hope that's where you reside
Trying too hard to rhyme seems a bad thing to do
Always a poems unglueing
But it's less so much about the poem's peel
More about the feelings I cannot set aside
It's been months and years and lifetimes since you've been in view
My eyes, my heart, my brain - the universe eschewing
Every day without you becomes less and less real
Yes, I blame the stars, but in them I confide
