I have missed skateboarding so much. I haven't done it at all recently since it's been freezing cold and winter. My skateboard is super fucking cool. I got it at Mother Murphy's, and I had it a year before I really started riding it. I went skateboarding a ton this summer with my friends. Scott was the most fun to board with, and he's the only one I went with who I'm still friends with.
My skateboard has an eye for the deck art that looks like it belongs to someone high on marijuana. The wheels match the deck and they say "DEATH WISH" on the side. I have a few stickers on it, too. The first one I put on it was a skull with a flower crown, I got it at Mother Murphy's sometime this summer and went next door to the record shop where I borrowed scissors and sat on the ground cutting it out of the square so I could put it on right away. I have another sticker I got from MM's of Chuck E Cheese pizza and he's holding his middle fingers up.
When I went on a field trip to the courthouse in Criminal Justice last year, Brett, Corbin, Nate, and I left and walked around downtown for a while during the lunch break. I have no doubt that was incredibly against the administration's rules, but Mr. P didn't care. We went into this art/tattoo/music shop and I saw this sticker that I HAD to have. It says "Subservients" in the Subway font, and underneath it says "FUCK WHITE BREAD". I actually bought Subservient's CD just so I could get the sticker that came with. (They're terrible. I tried getting my friends to listen to a song and they hated it so much that they wouldn't take it out and made me listen to the entire CD as payback.)
There are also two flies I cut out of another sticker to put on. The last stickers I've been trying to put on are a series of letters I cut out of another sticker (kind of like magazine ransom notes) to spell "Be your own pet", but the sticker is fuckin broken and none of the backs will peel off without the sticky part peeling off too, so there's only two letters I managed to get on.
I have a longboard as well, but I got that for $20 from Colt, and I don't feel as attached to it. I've invested a lot into my skateboard, so it's kind of funny I'm so shitty at it.
Tomorrow is decade day for spirit week at school, and I'm going for 90's grunge. I'm going to bring my skateboard with, even if I don't do it in the hallways. I'm sure I would fall and/or run into someone. I just miss having it around, I used to bring it everywhere with me and now it just sits in the corner of my room.
Also, this is Part 69. I think if my skateboard was a person, it would be super pumped to have chapter 69 dedicated to it. I know I sure would be.
