Kou lived in a manhole, he once did. You knew not because he told you himself but you knew because Ruki told you. All his brothers told you. Kou couldn't bring himself to tell you, to let you know of his rough unimaginable past. He doesn't want you to know. To know that he grew up hoping, wanting to see the sky, that he grew up beaten black and blue in an orphanage. He just wants you to know that he's all good, like the idol he used to be. You knew it has changed long before. He's now a vampire, and although an impure one he has the freedom to do whatever he pleases unlike when he was a kid. You were happy for him. Happy now that he's seen the sky for a thousand times over the centuries, happy that he's no more in the place Ruki called hell. But all in all you don't care. It doesn't matter whether he's got flaws, you don't mind it. In fact it made you love the blonde vampire more. More the more you know every bit of him. "You know what," He whispered one night, "I'm glad I've seen not just the sky." He held you close, his fingers tracing your delicate face, "...I've seen the heaven both."
