Carrying a platter of sweets, you head to Kanato's room. You smiled as you brought them closer and smelled them, and as you neared his room you told yourself, Kanato would sure love these. Reaching his room, you find the door slightly open, and as you pushed open the door with furrowed eyebrows, Kanato was nowhere in there. For a moment you thought of all the possible places he could be in, until you dropped the platter in realization. You ran without a second thought, dismissing all the scattered sweets on the floor. No, you chanted, heading to the fireplace. As expected he was there, drowned by the burning flames as you got there. Kanato was always there, occasionally there just to stare. At the flames, at the woods where Teddy was exactly laid hoping to catch one last glimpse of the moment when he was losing him. "Kanato..." You approached him, voice soft. He was sobbing in closer observation, and you grabbed hold of his hand from behind, spun him around. "Don't look." You whispered, hugging him, placing a hand in his head. There Kanato cried, and you hold him, as tight as he used to hold Teddy.
