OKAY GUYS

I haven't really done this before but I have a little writing tip to give because this would've really helped me if someone told me sooner, so maybe it'll help some of y'all

When writing a story, there's something very important you should do

PLAN
OUT
YOUR
FREAKING
CHAPTERS

I don't mean write down EVERY SINGLE LITTLE EVENT NO MATTER HOW SMALL

But plan out what needs to happen in them, and more importantly, the order and build up in which they happen

So when you go into a book, do not and I mean DO NOT RUN IN BLIND

I HAVE DONE THIS WITH AT LEAST TEN BOOKS, MOST OF WHICH Y'ALL HAVEN'T SEEN BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER PUBLISHED

You know why?

BECAUSE I DIDN'T FREAKING PLAN OUT ANYTHING

I'm not saying, "Yo, if you don't have a plan, give up and start over" because NO that's a lot of work and I don't even want to do that

I'm basically just saying, "Yo, if you don't have a plot and plan now, write it out, mix it with the chapters you have now and it'll make everything so much smoother and better"

You might be thinking, "Pssh, Atlantis, it's fine, I got this"

But brah, I thought so too.

I'm gonna admit something, The first couple chapters of Sea Serpent, I kinda ran in blind being like, "AH YEAH BOOK IMMA DO STUFF" but didn't have direction.

And then when it slowly got better, you know what I did?

Take a wild freaking guess

I planned crap. Then planned more crap. And then, I got good crap out of it.

Now planning is kinda a lot of work, I know, but do NOT be lazy with it. You get what you put into it. If you don't put much work into something, it's not gonna be as good, as of you invested your SOULLLLLLL INTO IT

...Yeah I got intense but you get the point!

Also, if you plan more, you can foreshadow stuff and stuff and it's like trolling and it's great to see people go back and be like "WAIT THIS WAS HINTING TOWARDS THAT BIG EVENT???" And being like, "HAHA SUCKERS FEEL PAIN!"

**********************
Long story short: I realized that all of the stories where I actually plan crap, (SS, Half of TETTEE, What We Lost) come out better (Or at least I'm more proud of them) and decided to be as motivational as possible because I didn't really think this way and I struck out on some of my past books and I don't want any of y'all to be the same

Unrelated note: I just planned out every single chapter to Culpability and it's not too shabby

Anyways, enough of that, I hope this was of some help to y'all! If you already know and do this, then you sure learned it before me so hats off to you! Be sure to comment and such, and g'bye!
