Third Person

There was good news and bad news on Christmas Eve.

Good News: It had started to snow, fulfilling the dreams of the many who wished for it and making the whole town white.

Bad News: It was a full on snowstorm.

Though all of the friends managed to group together before it had occurred, now they were forced inside because of it. The moon was hidden by the dark clouds, the street lights flickered and some even broke, and nobody could drive. They could barely even open the door, but even if they did, snow would leak inside the house.

Watching the wind blow the falling blankets of white was quite nice, but eventually, Atlantis was able to tear her eyes away from it and see what everyone else was up to.

In the kitchen, Moonstar was whipping up some hot chocolate for everyone, and keeping Christ at bay from eating all the whipped cream before she could use it to top the drink. Not far from them, and no doubt waiting for the hot chocolate to be finished, Shadow and Ace chatted with one another, and though Atlantis couldn't hear about what, they were both smiling brightly. Kitty had just finished up putting up some lights and now made a direct beeline for the kitchen. Over by the tree, Wolf and Ice both inspected the couple of gifts there, talking among one another about them.

Atlantis decided to join the pair by the tree, finding herself just as interested at the gifts, and sat down beside them. She searched for her name until laying eyes upon a bag with colorful paper coming out of the top. She reached for it but Wolf quickly slapped her hand before she could grab it. "Hey! We're going to open them all at the same time, remember?" She scolded her lightly, getting a sheepish smile in return.

"Right..." Atlantis paused and then cleared her throat, causing Ice to jerk away from her present and act like she wasn't doing anything.

Wolf sent her a look, but she just shrugged a little. "You never said anything against looking."

Chuckling a bit, they were all interrupted by a loud voice calling from the kitchen. "Hot Chocolate is done! Get it before- hey! Christian, you put that down right now! One per person! ONE PER PERSON!" Moonstar began to shift her attention and snatched one of the mugs out of Christian's hand, making her slink away with the one she did have with her, sipping and refusing to break eye contact with her.

In seconds, they all began to drink and compliment Moonstar on the taste, chatting with one another as they did so.

"So," Shadow finished hers in a matter of seconds and grinned wide. "Presents?" She was almost bouncing with excitement, most likely due to the amount of sugar she had taken in that day. They had made cookies earlier, but those were demolished in seconds after, largely by Shadow and Christian, the rest were fought over by whoever got there first. Sadly, Wolf and Atlantis both missed out on them, being out at the store when this all had happened.

Ice shook her head, pausing and swallowing her beverage before speaking. "Movie first. Which reminds me, which one did we agree on? Don't tell me we're doing-"

"Charlie Brown Christmas." Kitty answered, getting a groan.

"Really? Didn't we do that last year? And the year before?" Ice rose her eyebrow, looking around for confirmation.

Atlantis perked up, now getting an idea. "Yeah... Why don't we shake it up? I'm thinking Nightmare Before Christmas!"

"We did that for Halloween." Ace reminded her.
