Liam's POV

I had speed walked behind her. She seemed caring, making me wonder why would she steal. She looked innocent, but then again, looks can be deceiving.

I stopped walking once she left. I looked at her and waited for a few seconds before I could follow her.

She was heading down to the market. She must be buying everything with what she stole. I squinted my eyes and saw a ring on her finger. That ring was probably what Kris was talking about.

We entered the market, and I followed her every move. She seemed to be secretive, or I was just paranoid. She entered the food aisle and was picking up a ketchup bottle. She tried to reached for the top shelf for pickles, but she was too short. She jumped up to grab it, and unbeknownst to her, there was a piece of paper beside her feet. She had landed on paper and slipped, screaming in the process.

I immediately rushed to her side and caught her back with my arms. She looked up and stared at me, her brown eyes meeting mine.

I felt something weird. There was something about her that made me feel...timeless. I don't know if it was because I saved her or because of her eyes.

However, the feeling didn't last very long. She had stood up, however, her eyes were still on me. "T-thanks," she stuttered to say.

I smiled and nodded. "Anytime," I had manage to say. "I could get that jar if you want me to," I offered.

She seemed to have forgotten about the jar of pickles by the confusion look she expressed. She looked up at the jar and nodded. "That will be h-helpful."

I reached my hand and managed to get the jar. I handed it to her. She grabbed it and placed it in her basket. "Thanks," she said, looking at me weirdly. She looked down and walked away, but not after giving me one last look.

Ally's POV

I went to go paid for my items. I placed them on the counter and waited for the cashier to be done scanning each of the items.

My thoughts trailed off to the stranger. Was he following me? He seemed to be going to Encrusted Jewels and now here. Although, it could be a coincidence. He did save me from falling on my bottom. But when he caught me and I stared at him, I felt something. It was like a vibration or chills. Maybe it was because of what happened today with my job.

My job?!

What am I going to tell Camila? She can't work in her condition. I also pay for her surgeries. She depended on me for food, shelter, and protection. Camila may owned the house, but I pay for the electricity and the water. What if we have to sell the house? What if we don't get jobs? What if—

"Ma'am that would be $18.67," the cashier said, interrupting me from my thoughts.

I nodded and dug into my purse. I pulled out my credit card and handed it to her.

I tried to relax myself, but I felt a presence staring behind me. I turned around and saw no one.

Weird.

I turned back to the cashier. "I'm sorry, ma'am. You're credit card is empty."

"What?" I questioned. How could this be? This is just great. The cashier handed me back my credit card, and I pulled out a twenty dollar bill. Now, I just have ten dollars left because last night, I paid forty dollars on my meal.

"Have a nice day," she told me, handing me the bags. I nodded and exit the market.

Camila's POV

I am bored. I hate being like this. Why did I have to be this clumsy? I can't go out. I can't dance. I can barely move. Although, it's not really that bad as I make it seemed. I can finally binge watch TV shows. And I get to do nothing for the entire day.
