I'm going to post a new story this Friday. It's call Fate's Identity. I hope you guys would check it out when I publish it.
Now back to the story.
I turn my head to the park that was only about fifty feet away from the restaurant where Lauren occupy the bench. Her back was face towards me as she looked out to the lake and the sunset. Dinah and Normani were going with the guys.
I walk towards Lauren until someone tap me on my shoulder. I turn around and saw Louis. "I got it. You should go with the others."
"No, you can go," I said. "Lauren needs me right now."
"And she will, but I need to talk to her," Louis explains.
I wonder how kind he is towards Lauren especially after what Lauren told him. It's admirable. I nod my head. Louis smiles and rushes his way to Lauren.
Suddenly, someone's hands cover my eyes, startling me. "Guess who?" I recognize my favorite voice.
"Hmm...is it Boss?" I tease. I hear him scoff behind my back before removing his hands. He wraps his arm around me and places his head on my shoulder. "Are you free tomorrow?"
"I am not sure," I reply. "Camila and Lauren are at a rough time right now."
"Well, it's only if you want to, but I was wondering if you want to have a little picnic tomorrow in the evening," he suggests.
"I'm going to have to take a raincheck," I answer sadly.
"Okay," He said, releasing his hands. In his voice, I can tell he was disappointed. I turn around so we are face to face.
"I'm sorry, but it's just something I got to do," I explain.
"I get it," Liam said. "You are compassionate. There's nothing wrong with that. That's one of the many beautiful qualities I love about you."
My stomach feels unease hearing him saying that word: love. It's not necessarily something that I could talk about at the moment. If I look deep inside, I might say that I do. But I am not going to worry about it because Liam and I are at a good place where we do not need to question our feelings.
It was not that long of a ride. It was quiet too. I feel my eyes heavying as the second flies by.
Rrrrhhhh! Rrrrhhhh!
I moan as I hear the sound of Camila's alarm. That's one of the things that I do not miss. I hear giggles a few inches away from me. I slowly open one of my eyelids and groan as I see Camila and Dinah laughing. Those two are always up to something when they are together.
I take notice that I was in my own bedroom, laying in my old bed.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Allyson," Dinah said.
I look at them blankly before shifting my eyes at the time: 3:23. I widen my eyes, remember what happened earlier this day. Dinah sits on my bed and brush a lock of hair out of my face. "Sorry, if we disturb you, but I just needed Camila to smile," Dinah whispers.
I nod, completely understanding. Camila and Lauren never had this problem since high school. Camila once explained the situation to me. Apparently, some guy named Austin at their high school was a two timer. He dated Lauren first, but then talked to Camila. Camila and Lauren haven't even known each other yet. Lauren found out that Austin was cheating on her because of some kind of picture, I guess. Lauren confronted Camila and they decided to dump him. But whooh, the way that Camila described it, Lauren really hated Camila's guts until they actually became friends.
