I stand in front of the door, frozen. My stomach has that funny feeling again. And I couldn't shake it. I have a bad feeling. Something is wrong, and it is coming inside of the room. Some kind of force was preventing me from going in.
"Ally," Kris said. I turn to him, getting out of my state. "What are you doing? Open the door."
My eyes fall to the handle. I reach my hand and grab the handle, turning it nervously. With one push, I walk into the room and see the curtains of the windows.
As I walk pass the bathroom, I see Liam, laying down with a cloth wrapped around his head. His eyes were open, and he stared at me in puzzled.
I half smile at him, making my way to him. "Hey," I greet.
He looks at me, flabbergasted. "Hello?" He questions.
"How are you feeling?" I ask, holding onto his arm.
"Fine," he says, removing my hand. His eyes examine me for a moment with the same emotionless expression that resembles Kris'. "Who are you?" He jokes. Or at least that's what I think.
I chuckle nervously. "Liam, very funny," I remark. I grab his arm again, but he retaliated, pushing himself up north. That's when I see. The lost in his eyes. How nothing he sees seem to be familiar to him. He didn't recognize me. Nor did he act like he did.
I shake my head in disbelief. "Liam?" I question with some sort of hope. I try to grab his arm again, but he jerks my hands away and points at me.
"What do you want from me?" He asks harshly, furrowing his brows. "And quit touching me."
I look at him. "Liam. I am Ally. Your wife," I state, but he stares at me in disbelief.
His anger grew by the second, making me frighten. I have never seen him like this before. "My wife?" He questions. "I would never want to be with you—"
"Liam!" Kris shouts, but it is already too late.
My heart sinks as I take a step back. Tears form in my eyes.
Someone walks in, and I turn to her. Cheryl. Her smiles fade as she enters the room. She holds a fruit basket in her hands. I glance at Liam and her a couple of times.
"Cheryl, you finally made it," Liam with a breath of relief.
Cheryl turns to Kris and then back at Liam and me. "Hi," she greets me. I nod my head, not really in the mood to talk.
"Come here," Liam said. I turn to him, and he gives me a glare, not indicating that it was me he was talking to. It was Cheryl.
Cheryl sets the basket on the table and stands in front of Liam. I observe the two as Liam grabs her wrists. "Cheryl, don't leave me," he whines. "Don't ever leave me."
I stare at Liam, breathing inconsistently as tears make their way down. His hands hold onto Cheryl's wrist tight like he did to mine before. His eyes glow at Cheryl like he did to mine before. He spoke the words he said to me before to her.
"You got your wife here with you, Liam," Cheryl says. "She can take care of you."
Liam shifts his dead eyes at me, haunting me. "You!" He states. "You are not my wife! Get away!"
"Liam!" Cheryl shouts.
Liam turns back to Cheryl and pleads her to stay, tightening his hold on her. I interceded their intercourse and help pull Cheryl's wrist off of Liam's hands, but once my skin touches Liam's, he backs himself away, releasing his hold on Cheryl. Liam points at me, his finger shaking. "You don't touch me. Stay away from me," He scolds. "Go. Go!"
