Lol, hope you enjoy the little edit. I did it last minute, so that's why I'm posting this late.Today is the day!
Breathe. Breathe. I glance over beautiful wedding dress, hanging over at the closet door. I turn back and see a girl. A girl I use to know. She was a hopeless person at finding love but ended up here. On her wedding day.
Camila pushes my hair back, giving me a small yank of pain. "I'm sorry," she urgently says.
"It's okay," I reply. I am more nervous on how everything is going to go. I couldn't help shake a feeling that something wrong is going to happen.
"Did I pull your hair too much?" Camila asks, noticing my discomfort.
I shake my head. "No. I just... I couldn't help but feel like something is going to interrupt my wedding."
"Maybe it's just a habit," Camila assures. "You're thinking way too much. Just relax. And don't occupy your thoughts with something other than your happiness."
"Okay," I respond.
Camila continues to curl my hair. I'm surprise on how well put she is right now. She would usually panic along with me or get clumsy, but she isn't. And I feel like Zayn has played a factor on that. "Camila..." I begin. She looks into the mirror, looking at my reflected eyes. "...do you ever reflect over the days since you met Zayn?"
Camila smiles and nods. "Yes," she answers. "Zayn has taught me a lot about self-care. Without him, I would be a total mess right now. I wouldn't even be able to handle being the maid of honor."
"And so, how are you two doing?" I ask.
"We're still a beginner," she explains. "I met his parents the other day, and they welcomed me with open arms. I was quite shock because I never thought I would be accepted, but I was. And we are having talks about a second date."
"Nice," I comment. "You meeting the parents is a big step. Seems serious already."
"Yeah, it is, considering how fast we met," she said, placing both of her hands on my shoulders. "Just like you and Liam." We both chuckle at those memories. "I hope one day I get to be in your position and look as beautiful as you."
I hold onto her hands. "You will," I assure her.
Camila returns to curling my hair. She takes a lock of my hair twirls in around the curler. I sit still for another thirty minutes until my hair is complete. I walk over to the closet door and pick up my wedding dress. I walk into the dressing room and change.
After a few minutes, I walk out with the dress on, unzipped in the back. "Camila, can you give me a hand?"
Camila walks behind me and zips the zipper shut. I walk over to the mirror and observe my entire look. It gives me great pleasure, knowing how well everything looks. Even though I look different, I can still see the same me from before.
"You look so fabulous, Ally," Camila compliments.
I twirl in a circle, holding onto a layer of the dress. "Thanks, Mila," I said. "Thank you for helping me get ready."
"Anytime," she replies.
Someone knocks on the door. I allow them to come in. Normani walks in, holding the bouquet in her hands. She takes one look at me and drops her jaw. "Ally, you are such beauty queen."
