The waiter had brought us our food and drinks. Ally and I were just beginning to discuss facts about ourselves. "When were you born?" I asked her even though I knew already.

"July 7th, 1993," she answered.

I widened my eyes to fake my reaction. "Really?! Mine is August 29th."

"What?!" she said, surprised. She gave out a small chuckle and relaxed her wrist on the edge of the table. "You gotta be kidding."

I shook my head, smiling back at her. "Nope, it's true." I took a sip of my cup of water while she began to dig into the dish. "You're turn."

She covered up her mouth as she responded, "Okay...where did you go to college at?"

I adjusted my spot and rubbed my hands together. I didn't really know how to tell her this. I cleared my throat, trying to piece the sentence together, and scratched the side of my forehead. "I, uh, I didn't go to college."

"What?!" she gave out another surprise look. She then frowned seeing how serious I was. "Sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make feel depress or anything. It's just that you look very well-educated and you are such a gentleman that I thought you did. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."

I smiled at her dorky-ness. "It's okay," I gestured my hands. I leaned forward and asked her another question. "What's your family like?"

Ally smiled brightly. "My family. Well, there is my dad, my mom, my brother, Brandon, and me. My dad owns a farm back in Texas and my brother will inherit it once my dad retires. I love my parents very much and I would do anything for my brother."

I nodded, just listening to her voice. "Seems like a complete family." Ally smiled wider and I just couldn't help but smile with her. It's very contagious when she smiles.

"What about you?" she asked, before taking another bite of the shrimp.

"My family?" I questioned. She nodded in response. "I have my dad, my two sisters, Ruth and Nicola, and my brother, Kris. My mom died when I was young. My sister, Ruth, is married. Nicola has a boyfriend. Recently, my dad and Nicola got into an accident and they are in a hospital now." I looked down on my food.

"Oh my gosh, are you they okay?" Ally said with concern. "Was there any serious injuries?"

"Nicola is getting better while my dad is in a coma," I managed to say. I looked back up and saw her eyes beginning to puff. "Are you okay?"

She blanked out for a moment but soon responded to me. "Yeah, I am fine. Just know that I wish for the best for you." I gave a small smile to her. She returned it and resumed speaking. "Well, what about your brother, Kris?"

I tried to say the best way I can about Kris. I didn't want her to know that we were twins. "Kris and I are practically best friends until we graduated. He actually got to go college because some things weren't passed down to him. Kris and I, although we're similar, are different in our own ways. Kris always dress neatly. He would wear button up shirts and jeans or dress pants. He acts very royally."

"Kris seems to be someone who is very preserved," Ally commented.

"He is and it doesn't really help that he's shy and quiet," I said. It was true. Kris was shy and quiet to the point where I feel like he's hiding something. He can be stubborn to open up to me or Ruth or Nicola.

My eyes were observing the restaurant until my eyes met Ally's. She was looking at me and then at my plate. "Is there something bugging you?"

"No," she shook her head. "You haven't touched your food since it got here."
