Liam's POV

Yesterday was a massive fail. I was walking down to the park, and then there she was - Ally Brooke. We had a conversation that went somewhere, sort of. I only wish I could've asked more questions. But I was almost one hundred percent clear that she was not the one who stole the money. Ally has a lot of positivity in her that I believe that she wasn't a suspect. If only now, I could find a new suspect whom did do the crime.

Back to square one...

Zayn and I were walking through P-Jewels. Just to observe the workers and their jobs respectively.

"You know what I find weird?" Zayn asked.

I looked at him. "What?"

"You and Ally..." he began, which made me rolled my eyes. It's not like I don't like Ally. I do, but not in that way. We're friends. "...you two always seem to bump into one another when it's least expected. Literally."

I raised an eyebrow. Zayn smirked, acknowledging my blank face. He patted my shoulder. "Oh, you'll understand in time."

I nudged him on the shoulder. He made a little groan. I looked over to my right and saw Ally with a friend. I smile at the sight of her until I realized where we were.

I looked in front of me and saw Louis walking towards us. I glanced back to the girls and saw them getting closer to the intersection. I don't know if I was paranoid or what, but I saw Ally's eye meeting mine. Therefore, I turned my head away from them.

Zayn gave me a weird look as I tried to explain my motives. "Ally's over there," I whispered, but I think I was too quiet because Zayn was still looked unsure of what I said. I pointed towards them, my back still turned to them.

"Duck!" Zayn commanded and I did as he said. My body slammed to the ground. I was in panic mode.

I crawled against the floor as I went forward. My legs caught up to my knees and soon I was walking like a dog.

I looked in front of me and I was near the corner. Shit! You know, why should I hide? It's not like they are going to find out that I own this store.

I jumped up and I guess I must've startled the girls because they were screaming.

"What the..." Ally's friend muttered.

"Liam, what—why—" Ally said, confused and breathless.

"I can explain," I said. I stared at Her friend, who was just in an angry-but-not-really mad phase, and then at Ally, who was relieved that it wasn't a thief or something. Her eyes were still filled with a little bit of fear. I simply gave her a friendly smile to assure her that everything is okay.

"Out with it!" Ally's friend raised her voice.

"Well, you see, I, uh, thought I dropped something, uh, so I went down to go and pick it up..." I said, trying to sound cool, but no way that I did. It also wouldn't have helped if Ally would stop making questionable looks at me. "...I grabbed it and, uh, I was super relieved."

Ally smiled and shook her head. I couldn't help but smile with her. It's contagious. "I'm sorry," I chuckled a little. "I'm lying. I'm a terrible liar."

Ally nodded a little. "Yeah," she responded. "But you're not that bad. You could become an actor with some more practice."

"How about you?" I asked her, tucking my hands into my pockets.

"I'm not an actress," she told me.

"Neither am I," I remarked with a sigh. I broke our gaze at one another and looked at her friend, who seemed to have some interest in Zayn. She was looking at him as if she was flirting with him.
