Ally's POV

I was getting ready for my date. I can't believe that's it's been a month since I've met Troy. I can't stop thinking about him. He is the best boyfriend ever. He's polite, nice, kind, isn't cheap, and most of all, respects me.

I'm never good with flirting with boys, and I've always thought that I don't need one. Camila and Dinah kept telling me that, and I believe them. They are not wrong. I still feel independent.

I had straightened my hair out today. I wore a sparkly black top with a cardigan and a neon pink skirt. I heard the door knock and I ran downstairs to answer it. I checked in the living room to see Camila sleeping on the couch. Her crutches were placed on the floor.

I didn't live with my parents because they lives back in Texas. I moved here in California for college and I graduated just last spring with Camila, Dinah, Lauren, and Normani.

I opened the door. "Hi, Troy," I greeted.

He was holding something behind him. "Hey," he smiled at me. He pulled his hand up front, revealing a bouquet of roses.

"You got me flowers," I said as he handed me them. I walked into the kitchen to find a vase. Troy followed her.

Once she set the roses in the vase filled with water, she turned her attention to Troy. "So what's the plan for today?" I asked nervously.

"I was thinking of taking you to a restaurant," he told me and butterflies flew into my stomach.

We walked to his car, not too long. He opened the door for me, and I entered his car. He then got settled down into his side, behind the wheels. He started the engine. We filled the car rides with some small talk.

Once we arrived to our destination, he opened the door for me. I exit the car and followed him inside. We walked inside, and I was dropped my mouth in awe. The walls had a warm feeling to it and their were chandeliers. The floor were covered with carpet.

A lady, behind a podium, greeted us. "Do you guys have reservation?" the lady asked.

"Ogletree," he stated.

The lady nodded once she found the name on the list. She gestured for us to follow her. I adjusted my cardigan. Troy held my hand as we followed the lady. She placed two menus at a table for two and we sat down. "Now, what would you guys like to drink?"

"Water is fine for me," I said. The lady wrote it down. I placed my left hand against the back of my neck.

"Tea," Troy replied.

The lady walked away, leaving us to look at the menu. "So, what are you getting?" he asked me.

I scan over the menu and responded with a chuckle. "I don't know. There's just so much, and it's so expensive."

"I can pay," he said which left some weight off my shoulders.

But that wouldn't be fair. "No, I can pay."

He shook his head. "No, let me pay. I have enough money."

"How about we paid for our own food?" I suggested.

He nodded with hesitation. I find it so sweet how he's not cheap. He's just the perfect guy. When we first started going out, I wasn't sure about him. Camila and Lauren thought he was sketchy, but he proved them wrong. Normani and Dinah were okay with him, just as long as he didn't break my heart.
