Ally's POV

My mind has been filled with Liam in my mind ever since our little intercourse from yesterday. I don't know what's happening to me. He and I somehow just clicked right away.

Maybe it was because of the kids that lighted our moods or the elegant water fountain that was only a few feet away from us that cooled our souls. At certain times, somethings can become indescribable, and this was one of them.

Our friendly conversation brought me away from all of troubles. I had forgotten that Troy even existed at that point because it was just Liam and me talking and exchanging facts about one another. I wish I could talk to Liam more, but I can't because I don't want to get attach to him. He seems like someone I would enjoy having company with.

However, I told myself to start searching for Troy today and I will obey my orders. I am going to go his house today because I just now thought of it. I guess, I must've been overwhelmed with everything and forgotten the most simplest stuff.

I was only a couple feet away from the door. I paced myself back and forth, thinking of all the reasons why I should do this and why I shouldn't. I feel as if I was giving a speech in front of a class and I hated that. Speeches and me don't mix that well. I stutter and stumbled on my words because I care about how people thought of me.

Every single time I feel my heart beat, the more insecure I got. But I managed to find some courage to go up to the door and knock on it. Sadly, I turned away before I could even knock on the door. I don't know what he'll think of me or what I'll say. What am I going to say?

Yeah, do I just ask for the employee card back or what? Do I ask him about the money that he might have stolen? Might have? They saw that he stole money so he, of course, did steal.

"Hello?" A voice behind me said.

I turned around and gave a half smile. I think I was too deep in thought, more like rambling my thoughts, that I didn't hear the door open.

In front of me was a beautiful young lady who doesn't seem to be over forty. She had blue eyes and was a brunette. I never seen her before. Technically, I never saw Troy's family.

"Yes, may I help you?" she asked.

I nervously sigh. "Yes, do you know where Troy is?" I blurted out. I straighten my back and relaxed my shoulder so I could feel confident.

The young lady lowered her eyebrows, as if saying she never met a Troy in her life. "Excuse me, ma'am, there's no one here that goes by the name of Troy. Just me, Tucker, and Jace."

Great. Another lie that he told me.

I tried to hide my disappointment and it was pretty convincing. I told her my goodbyes and headed back into Lauren's car.

I sat down on the passenger seat and buckled up. Lauren started the engine. I leaned my against the seat and moaned.

"Ally, what happened?" Lauren asked me.

I sighed heavily and answered, "There is no Troy. He lied to me where he lived."

My words somehow infuriated Lauren. "What? That jerk needs to pay for his sins. Who even does that? Especially to you."

I shook my head. "We should stop searching." I told her and her face fell.

"What? No, Ally," Lauren began. "We hardly even begun. I bet the other things he told you about were true."

"I can't trust him on that," I told her which only made her groan.

"Allyson Brooke Hernandez, get your head in the game. We are going to find Troy and he is going to pay," Lauren started the same motivation speech I've heard three times today. "You don't deserve what he has been doing to you. You hear me. We are going to drag his ass back into hell."
