I change the cover photo the story. I like it, and I hope you like it as well.
It's a brand new day. Zayn's birthday is coming being celebrated today. Liam texted me that they are deciding to go out to eat. Apparently, Zayn doesn't want to make his birthday a big deal. I'm fine with that. It's his birthday. He gets to choose how he wants it to be. Honestly, I'm just glad to see Liam in a different environment. I wonder how he acts around his friends. Is he going to be my Liam or a different Liam?
The girls and I got situated in the car. Lauren sat behind the steering wheel. She places her hands on the three-to-five and nine-to-seven position. I check the rear view mirror. I see Dinah smirks. "Don't worry, we buckled up, mom?" Dinah teased.
"Hey, I'm just checking to make sure everyone is safe," I remark. My eyes shifts to Lauren's.
"Now, where is this place?" she asks.
"It's in the city across from World of Gummies," I answer.
"Okay," Lauren replied with a nod. She turns her attention to the road before switching the gear from park to drive.
My stomach suddenly feels a little uneasy. Liam said that he needed to talk me and it was important. I am kind of scared. I don't know why, but I feel like it's not going to be good. Well, that's how I interpret it. I mean, he never really says this a lot. What if he wants to talk about our relationship? I feel like it's been going at a nice pace. It's faster than a usual couple, but it's only because we have known each other for a while. Or maybe it's not bad at all? Maybe, he wants to surprise with something great. Maybe our second date? Whatever it is, I hope to know by the end of the trip.
"Is this the place?" Lauren question, observing the building we parked in front of.
I scroll my window down and take a clearer look at the building. Liam said that there is a mural of a park. In the far right side, I see an image of that. "Yeah, this is the place," I answer, turning back to Lauren. "You just parked a few yards away from the entrance."
"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I am for sure not going to walk that far," Lauren said before shifting the gear to reverse. She backs out of the parking lot and drives into a new one. She parks it and locks it once all five of us got out and retrieve our items.
Dinah, Lauren, Normani, Camila, and I enter the building quietly and with caution. We walk up to the counter where a waiter was talking to some guests. We wait until they have their attention on us. "Yes, ladies," he said.
"Excuse us—" I begin but was distracted my someone else's hand colliding with mine. I turn my head up and saw Liam standing in front of me.
"Excuse me, but they are with us," he said to the waiter.
"Alright," the waiter said. "Do you guys need any help getting situated?"
"More menus," Liam answers. The waiter nods and walks off to grab them.
"Sorry, we're late," I said.
"It's fine," Liam said as our eyes meet once more, syncing our hands together until our fingers cross. I bat my eyes shyly. "Let me show you to the table."
We follow until Liam stops and gestures his hand to a long table set up for ten with Zayn, Louis, Harry, and another guy already seated. Liam points to an empty seat next to him, moving hand to and fro above he seat. Smiling, I take a step before someone snatched my arm from behind. I look at her.
