Liam's POV
4:30. I hear my alarm going off. I squint my eyes and grabbed my phone under my pillow. I hit the stop button, silencing the loud beeps, and sat up.
Today is a special day, and I intend to make Allyson as happy as ever. Less than forty-eight hours ago, I promised her to give me today. There was a pit in my stomach. Confronting Cheryl was one thing but telling her something was something else. At the end of the day, I just hope she understands.
She convinced me to break things off with Ally. And there was a lot that she said:
"Did you really promise her to meet you at the park at ten?" Her hands were placed on her hips as she tapped her feet against the floor. She stood in front of me as I rested on the couch.
"It's just a short conversation between two friends," I told her.
She scoffed. "Yeah, and if I was stupid, I would believe that. I know what you are up to, but you can't do it."
"Why not?"
"Did you ever consider your father and mother? How are they going to act if they found out you're hanging out with this 'Allyson' girl? They know nothing of her and will shame her for being with you."
"You're wrong," I replied back. I straighten my posture and continued, "My father knows her already and mother would never treat a woman like her like...some kind of street rat. Even if she is gone, I can still remember her and the stories that father told her."
"Liam, that is not the point of what I was saying," she crossed her arms. "I meant, what would other people see her as. The guys at the agency. How will they treat her? They love the idea of you and me being together. They are going to think that she stole you from me, and that's going to make it worse for her."
I shook my head in disbelief. "No. Ally is kind and heart-warming. She will win them over. You are just saying this because you don't know her like I know her."
"So you rather risk the chance of her getting hate than to let her live the life she has always meant to live," she stoop to my head level and looked at me in the eyes. For a moment, I could see something in her eyes. There was something familiar about it. She pulled over and sat next to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Think about what's best for Ally because I know that you think that you can protect her, but with all that's going to happen, you might not."
Cheryl thinks that I told Ally to stay away from me. However, I planned something special for Ally since she couldn't see her family for the holidays.
Once I got ready, I quietly walked out of the house. While I passed, I placed a note for the servants to handle before Ally and I got back from our events. I drove to Dinah's aunt's apartment and waited for Dinah and Ally.
I see Ally and Dinah walking out of the building and heading their way towards me. Ally looked confused as she spotted me in the parking lot.
Ally opened the front passenger door and sat down. "What's going on?" She questioned.
"Dinah and I talked about today, and we decided to take you to a couple of different places," I replied.
"We both know how badly you wanted to see your family in Texas, so we are hoping to cheer you up," Dinah added as she sat down and buckled her seatbelt.
I turned on the engine and put the gear into drive. We arrived in front the building in less than forty minutes. I turned off the engine and looked at Ally. She observed the building before catching the sign and smiled with confusion. "Granny's Diner and Grill? Why are we here?"
