Ally's POV
I woke up this morning on the couch. I looked over and saw Camila sleeping and drooling on the other couch. Today, I had planned to go to the bank to get some money out of my account. But I had to find the keys first. I had to search for them in my messy room. I haven't had time to clean in a while because I've been really with work and volunteering, but now, I have all of the time to clean it.
I walked upstairs and into my room. Clothes and books were scattered on the floor, almost in piles.
Good thing I'm not that messy like Camila.
I prepared myself to dig into my clothes and sort them out. I had placed all of the old and dirty clothes in a bin, so I could wash them later. I stacked the books on top of my drawer. Next beside it was the cap that the mysterious stranger had forgotten. I gave a little grin at it as my memories of it refresh.
The keys!!!
I reminded myself. I searched around the floor and in the drawers. I looked in the shelf, but I found nothing. Where could it possibly be? I decided to look under the bed, and I was amazed at how dirty it was down there. Am I even in the right room? Since when was my room this dirty. I used my hand to searched for the item.
It wasn't long before I heard something chime. I felt a small, circular item and grabbed it. To my disappointment, it was my heart shaped ring. Troy bought it for me at a carnival. I promised to myself that I would always cherish it, but at this point, I don't know if I should. He hasn't called or texted me in the last couple of days. His actions right now have made me question him in ways that I never thought I would.
I put the ring on my bed, shaking the thought away, and began searching for the keys again. I stretched my arm deeper and felt something jingle beside my hand. It has to be the keys. I grabbed it and no, it was not the keys. I groaned. It has to be somewhere unless...
I tried to remember the last time I used the keys. It was after I had come home from doing something that I shouldn't have. It was the day that I went on a date with...Troy. It had to be him.
After I came home, I had gotten ready for the date. He knocked on the door and brought me flowers. I went to the kitchen to put them in a vase, and that's when he could've taken it. It was the perfect time for him to grab it since I had hung it next by the door.
I let out a noise of frustration. Why does this keep happening to me? Am I that bad of a person? I took in deep breath to calm myself.
I guess I would just have to walk today. It's only five miles. I grab my purse and walked downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to write Camila a note.
After I scribbled something down, I stick it on the remote control so she doesn't have to walk to get it and read it. I locked the door before exiting.
I used the sidewalk to lead me through the neighborhood. I don't know if it's just because it's morning or because of the cool air, but I felt like I was being watched. I stopped and looked around me. There was nothing, but I still felt like there was someone watching me. I guess, I must be starting the day a little bit off. I took one last look before I continue walking.
It was only a half an hour walk before I finally reached the bank. I pulled the door and entered the building. I looked over to the counter and saw the ladies behind the counter were busy with other people, so I sat down on the chair, patiently waiting. In the process, I tied my hair into a ponytail.
