"Hey, Troy," I greeted.
He looked at me, up and down, before he could respond. "Ally. Finally. It's been a while since we talked."
I stood there, still trying to process his presence. I can't believe it. I didn't find him. He found me.
"Hello?" He noticed that I was frozen. He waved a hand in front of me to make sure that I wasn't staring off into space, and I wasn't.
I swallowed hard and answered him the best way that I could. "T-Troy. H-How could you...? Where have you been? I've been trying to contact you." I probably didn't make a whole lot of sense, but hopefully, he got the gist.
"Everywhere," he said vaguely. "I had to take a trip."
Should I come out and ask him? Or should I just wait? What will his answer be? My eyes glanced around the places. My hands and legs were shaking. I should just easily shift the conversation to it. Yeah, I will just do that. "How come you're here?"
"What? As if I couldn't be here?" he questioned me, although it wasn't a question at all. He gave me this irritated look that I have never seen before. It was like he had switch his personality from night to day.
I turned my thoughts away and paid attention to him. "No, of course not. I would never make—"
"Forget it," he interrupted me. His tone had changed. He was softer and gentle and it had surprised me by how he said it. But what shocked me even more was what he said and done next. "I've missed you." He opened his arms and closed them behind me.
In this moment, I had mixed feelings. I thought I was just his toy. An item that he just used, but at this moment, he seemed to genuinely care about me. And to feel myself in his arms once again felt amazing. The warmth he had brought would always bring my mood up. I bring my hands to his back and returned the hug.
One of his hands stroked my hair while the other caressed my back with ease. The way that he was touching me had made me lose my common sense. Was this actually happening?
I hear him clear his throat and spoke in a whisper, "Now, listen. You are going to do exactly as I say. In the next five days, you are going to come to the docks and do my bidding."
I raised an eyebrow and whispered back, "Wh...w-why would I want to do that?"
"You definitely would want to come," he whispered back. "That is only if you want your items back."
I tried to pace myself. I let go of my hands on him. "Why? Why are you doing this to me?"
"I have my reasons," he said.
I tried to break free, but he held a strong grip on me. "Let go of me," I raised my voice. And with that, he let go.
"It's your decision," Troy said. "You know where to find me."
He walked off and I stood there, just looking at him. I hadn't prepared myself to see this side of him. How did he become like this?
Suddenly, I felt someone grabbing a hold of my arm. I turned around to face them and I blinked a couple of times to make sure I was seeing him right: Liam. He had an angry look on and I could tell that I was going to get yelled at.
I didn't know what to say at first, so I just started with, "Liam. Plea—"
"Why are you here?" He interrupted me. "After I told you not to be here. Why are you here?" He grabbed a hold on both my arms.
"Wait," I began to think. "How did you know that I was here?"
"I saw you through my bedroom window," Liam answered. "Now answer. Why are you here? Do you know how dangerous it is for you? Do you know what could've happened to you?" I remained silent, not even trying to piece out words together for him to understand. I don't even understand it myself. "Why didn't you listen to me? Don't you trust me?"
