Only thing i need

Infinity war was something that Tom had worked so hard on and he was so happy to be filling the role he had dreamed of since he was so young in one of the biggest marvel films ever and you were also insanely proud of him for everything he has achieved. The only thing you hated about this whole thing was the premiers in the other countries as they lasted so long and he had now been away for nearly 2 months and due to the time difference it was hard to keep in contact with him often.

You and Tom had been dating for 4 years now and you were so happy to be with him because he was the most genuine guy you had ever met and you loved him a lot he was the love of your life without a doubt but as Tom became more known it became a lot harder to stay close and see each other.  Nikki had asked you to meet her for a lunch date, when you first met Nikki you felt like she didn't like you but that was far from reality she treats you like a daughter. You arrived at the restaurant and as you were led to the table you see Nikki sat down looking at the menu when she looks up and smiles as she sees you.

"Hello sorry I'm late" you smile pulling her in for a hug and as you pull away you take a seat opposite her placing your handbag on the floor.

"It's fine you're not late I'm just a bit early, so how have you been" she smiles

"Good, I'm missing Tom a great deal but yes I am doing well how are you?" You ask looking at her with a smile on your face. 

"Very good, Ive been missing Tom as well. Have you spoke to him recently?"

"I spoke to him briefly last night at about 1am but he said he was very busy so it wasn't a long call"

"Awh He is so busy recently I haven't spoken to him in a week now a few messages but that's it really, it's so hard I know Hun but everything will be okay" she smiles holding your hand across the table "have you been working much?" You were a midwife and that also made it harder to keep in contact with Tom.

"Yes a lot but I have the next few days off because Tom was due home but he's to busy"

"Oh really?!" She asks shocked like she didn't know he was due at all

"Yeah He had to cancel"

"Oh hunny"

After 4 years Nikki knew you quite well and could tell you were upset and you were upset because your boyfriend wasn't home ever and you missed him all of the time. You finished lunch with Nikki and it was so nice to catch up with her after so long. On your walk home you thought about what you could possibly do when you got back; when Tom wasn't home you were always working so your mind was somewhere else but now you had a lot of Time to sit at home and miss Tom.

You walked up to your front door and unlocked the door before pulling the key out and walking into the house as you turn to light on where you see a bunch of rose petals leading into the garden and you were confused but something told you it was Tom because who else would this be?

You followed the petals into the garden where you saw a bunch of fairy lights hanging off the trees and as you turn your head you see Tom standing there in a suit and a smile on his face. You were in complete shock and you felt like you couldn't move and you just wanted to break down and cry and before you knew it you were crying.

"Hey hey don't cry" Tom comes over to you and you just pull him in for a huge hug

"I've missed you so much" you cry

"Come here" he smiles, taking your hand and leading you to where he was stood before then he takes your other hand as he takes a deep breath. "Y/n i can't explain how much I love you and how much I just want to be with you all of the time so the only way I can express how much you mean to me is by doing this"

"Tom" you smile as he gets down on one knee and you just wanted to break down in tears you had wanted this for years.

"I guess the only thing I need is you so Y/n will you marry me?"

"Of course" words couldn't describe how happy you were as Tom placed the ring on your finger he stands up as his hands cup your cheeks as he kisses you.

"I love you so much" he smiles as you crying kissing him again

"I love you too" you smile. "I can't believe your here"

"This was my plan all along... I want you to come with me" 

"Come where?"

"With me everywhere, come travel please"

"What about my job?" You ask, this was something you had worked so hard for and you didn't want to loose all your hard work.

"You don't have to come all of the time but please come with me more?" You smile and Just peck his lips

"Of course I will Tom. I love you so much" you smile, you wanted to spend so much time with Tom and this was perfect you were now engaged to the most amazing man ever.
