Being hurt in the past can ruin a lot in the future and in your case that was true in every single way you held back in almost everything friendships and relationships you were terrified to commit to anyone in fear of getting hurt even if you wanted to go for it 100%. This problem was hard for any point in your life but it was heightened the day you met Tom you were working with his mum helping around with photo shoots when Tom arrived and instantly took a liking to you.

*Flashback*
"Hey I'm Tom, Nikki's son" he smiles holding his hand out as you shake it with a smile on your face Tom was very beautiful

"Y/n nice to meet you" you smile as you continue to unpack all the camera stuff Nikki had asked you too while she was sorting some other stuff out.

"So you're helping out?" He asks leaning on the wall awkwardly

"Yeah" you smile looking up towards him

"Oh cool" he nods "You're really pretty"

"Thank you"

"Do you like wanna go out sometime like maybe on a date or something" He asks scratching his head and as much as you wanted to you knew your feelings wouldn't let you.

"I don't date but thank you for asking" you smile standing up and walking over to where you were setting up the lights and Tom just follows

"Okay friends then" he smiles and you look to him cocking your eyebrow slightly as you giggle looking to the floor

"You're very resilient aren't you" you laugh giggling "Friends?"

"Friends!" He smiles.

*Present day*
Ever since you met for the first time you and Tom had been hanging out as friends and it was so nice to have such an amazing friend as Tom he was there whenever you needed.

After spending so much time with Tom you did start to fall in love with him but you still couldn't tell him you did you were still terrified even after being friends with him for 2 years now and you spent everyday with Tom whenever he was home and even went away with him sometimes.

Tom had been home for a few days and you had yet to see him as he was spending time with his family even though he invited you to come round you thought it best for him to spend time with his family. You had been out at the gym and as you arrived back at your apartment you go to get your key out of your bag when you realise that you had left it inside the house

"Shit!" You curse to yourself as you grab your phone and as you call Tom he was the only person that would actually come rescue you.

"Hello?" He says down the phone after only a few rings

"Hey Tom I'm so sorry is there anyway you can come rescue me I'm locked out and the only person with a key is my mum and she's away at the moment" you tell him as he giggles down the phone

"Of course I can I will be there soon" Even though you couldn't see him you knew that he was smiling

"Thank you" you smile hanging up as you place your phone in your bag as you sit on the floor leaning against the door.

While you sit and wait for Tom you do the worst thing possible...you think about your feelings and it was in this moment you realised how much you did truly want to be with Tom and you did actually love him in a weird way and it was weird because you hadn't ever even kissed or gotten close enough to be in love but you well and truly where in love with him.

"Want some spare change" you hears Tom voice as you look up and scoff before standing up and giving him a sarcastic smile

"You're funny"

"I know" he giggles "Come on then bub let's go back to mine" Tom always called you bub it was just his little thing.

You and Tom made your way down to his car as you got in and made your way back to his place, within 20 minutes you were sat in his living room with Tom on the couch.

"How did you even forget the key?" He giggles putting his phone on charge before turning back to you with a smile on his face.

"I don't know I guess I just forget to pick it up before going to the gym"

"You went to the gym!" He says sarcastically as you just frown at him pouting when you turn away to him "I'm joking I'm joking" he giggles leaning over to you trying to get you to turn around again to look at him and before you knew it Tom was laying on top of you and your faces where very close

"Tom.." you say with a slight sigh but before you could finish your sentence he had leaned down and your lips had touch his hands cupping your cheeks as your lips moved together until you pulled away. There was a moment of silence between them Tom stood up  in a panic

"I'm so sorry I shouldn't have done that I know you don't date or anything and I'm sorry"

"Tom it's fine don't worry" you smile standing up as well and walking over to him "I have something I need to tell you but I don't want to say it"

"Just tell me you know that you can tell me anything" he says moving closer

"I can't...I won't" you say moving back to the couch and sitting down looking at the floor

"Bub please"

"I love you okay? I am in love with you so much it hurts" you snap out

"Wow Y/n are you seriou...."

"YES!"

"Woah I'm sorry" he says stepping back "but I do love you too and I can promise you that I would never hurt you like anyone else because I can't loose you Y/n" you couldn't help but just stare

"You do?"

"Of course" you just lean in and kiss him once again "so can I finally take you on a date?"

"Yes" you giggle as you smile into the kiss before reattaching your lips.
